Yeah man this thing is crazy!!! I didn’t even know there was a randomise feature. You can pick which areas you want to randomise. Countless fun!!!

Nice vid TarNay, waiting for the 1st drop is sooooooo frustrating, can't wait! Out of interest, what do you use for making your vids (presume it auto sync frame changes to beat - I'd like to be able to do that). Cheers, Locko

Pete Lockett killing for the first drop to arrive! I cut the video manually to the beat. I’m still pretty fresh to video editing and it’s very different to audio so it takes me a lot longer to do things. The chops are all done by just cutting out all the parts I want then rearranging them until it does something cool. Ultimately, I’m just having fun and learning along the way 🤙😊

I program my own drums in. But I did later in a drum groove from the Wavestate in the second half of the track. Thanks for the comment! 🙏

Great point! Unfortunately I only have 1-2 days with the Wavestate. So I just banged out a track using some of the presets. I wish I could dive deeper into the Wavestate. It’s such an amazing piece of gear! I want to buy one to understand it better.

Haha yeah it’s pretty unique in how it uses only samples. Really fun bit of gear with a unique sound. Great for sample-heads like me 😜

I've haves mine for like 2 years without taking it out of the box ! I'm scared ! I'm a Six String Jockey that's gots love for Techno, 80's Electronic, Joyt Division, Post Punk, I picked this one because it has a ton of sounds from Orchestral to Dream scary-ness ? Thank You for inspiration. I'm rally new Green as f*** so trying to get my ADHD broken ass brain arounds this. Peace-

Great question. I think it needs the PSU, but I don’t know for sure. I borrowed the Wavestate for a day.

I own the Wavestate myself, and you need a PSU to power the keyboard as a MIDI controller.

What did you use for drum beat?

Thanks for the comment. I just used some samples from a Croup kit and some sounds I made. Then just played them on using my Push 2. I also layered a drum loop from the Wavestate in to add a little variety and texture. I typically have a UAD Fatso on the drum bus to slam it all together and give character.

Yeah it goes deep! I only had it for 2 days. So I only had time to flip through patches, tweak a few knobs and hit record. Haha

It’s a great piece of gear and personally, I think it’s a pretty good price too! I feel like it’s going to be one of those gems in 10-20years time.

digitaljosh yeah I wish you could load your own too. Maybe there will be an update someday... Regardless, there is a LOT of content already loaded in there to manipulate until the cows come home! Haha
