Hi, I did the separate wood base to be able to replace the lights, because I unfortunately already had back luck with a light which didn't turn on anymore. I am currently working on an easier solution for the wood part, I will have a video coming soon

Hello. This is beautiful. What Name is the Resin you are using?
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts 3 месяца назад
Hi, thank you! 🤗 The resin I use is named Epoxyplast 100P, the brand is Dipon (German brand, they ship to a lot of countries, mainly in Europe). The working time is approx. 40min. to 1h20 depending on the room temperature and the maximum pouring height is 1cm / 0.4in. Entirely cured after 1 day.

@celineartsandcrafts 10 месяцев назад
Hi, thank you! for 2 KG / 4,4 pounds (this particular mold needs approximately 1915 gramm / 4,222 pounds) you pay around 30 euros (=32,2 USD) where I live. It depends on what product you buy, there are a lot of different resin types for example fast cure, deep pour. I used a normal casting resin which has a limit of 1,5 cm / 0,6 in deep so I had to pour many layers to fill the mold. You can buy a deep pour resin to fill the mold at once but it costs more.

Can u also plzz tell the measurements of resin and hardener for this lamp
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts Год назад
My mold is 23 cm / 9 inch long and 5,1 cm / 2 inch deep, I needed around 1800 ml / 60,865 oz to fill the mold. If you are going to try in one pour, you should be aware that your flowers are going to float to the surface. So the best would be to do at least one small layer on the bottom to stick your flowers to it before doing your deep pour.

So I preserved my own bouquet and worked in a layering method but today I finally went to unmold my bouquet and some spots on the sides of it the resin hasn’t fully cured and is runny in between layers. Do you know how to remedy this? 😢
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts Год назад
Hi Shawna, I am so sorry this happened to you! Is it your first time with resin? The main reasons whiy this happened coud be: -Mixing by weight instead of volume or by volume instead of weight, -grabbing the wrong bottle (hardener istead of resin), -accidentally wrong ratio (this happened to a friend of mine, she did 2:1 without reading but it was 1:1. Some of the pieces dried after a very long time - a few months - some never dried), -not mixing well or long enough, -not scrapping the sides of the cup and the stick while mixing (so there is still unmixed resin on the sides of the cup) The only solution for this would be to -scrap off the liquid resin. Once the majority is gone you can use an alcohol wipe to wipe the remaining off -re-pour a coat of resin over the sides But it'll be difficult to pour a new coat over the sides depending on how much liquid resin you'll have taken off. You'll need to pour a very very thin layer over the sides so it won't flow everywhere while drying, I would suggest dispersing the resin on with your gloved hand. I wouldn't suggest doing it with UV resin, I would suggest normal resin so the resin has time to fill the holes correctly. But it is difficult to say without seeing the piece, if you would like to, you can send me a picture to celineartsandcraftsbusiness@gmail.com, I can take a look and think about how to solve it best. PS: I watched a lot of videos about resin tables before I did my own, one of them was a video where the same problem as you are describing occurred, the video is from John Malecki. He didn't find out why it happened but it could be informative for you to see and go through the comments and seeing people's thoughts Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IV9oAyoMmkY.htmlsi=oSZ7u6z2BfjQVVR8

Did you dry the flowers before putting them into the resin? With silica gel?
@asnaahmed838
@asnaahmed838 Год назад
Nice work 😍.... I have a doubt do we need to pour a small layer of resin before placing the flower ?
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts Год назад
Thank you! To be sure that the colors of the flowers are going to last a long time you can either do a layer before placing the flowers, or you can fill the holes with some resin later if you have some. I use a very liquid resin so usually the resin goes under the flowers, I rarely have holes to fill but I prefer doing it this way because roses are quite high and if I do a layer before adding the flowers, I lose some space in my mold.

Can we use glow in the dark paint or powder in it? How much amount of resin is used in it? Is there any way to dry flowers without silica gel?
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts Год назад
Hi, yes you can use glow in the dark powder, for glow in the dark paint I'm not sure, you may want to test if they work together on a small test piece. For this mold I needed approx. 1800ml / 60,865 oz of resin. You can dry your flowers in a book but then they will be flat, I do not know any alternative for the silica gel. It is expensive but you can re-use it all over again. Once the grains are turning into a color (means that they have too much moisture) you can bake them a few minutes in the oven (following the instructions) and then you can start again as if they were new.

Why can’t we put the whole resin till the top in one go?? Can u play answer this question.. I am new no clue abhi it resin so wanted to know why can’t we do that.. wanna try once
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts Год назад
Hi, if you want to pour in one go, you'll need a resin which is able to do peed pours. You can see in the specifications the maximum height, my resin is not for deep pours that's why I did layers
@crystalbutterflydecoration3269
Good question 😮 I was just wonder the same why not do it one go, but I also got the answer . 👌
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts Год назад
Hi, if you consider trying this with a deep pour resin, please be aware that you should do at least one small pour where you put the flowers into before adding the remaining quantity, because if you don't your flowers will float to the surface and not stay at the bottom

Hi, thank you!! my mold needs approximately 1800 ml / 60,865 oz to fill, and the piece weights 1915 gramm / 4,222 pounds of resin (my mold is 23 cm / 9 inch long and 5,1 cm / 2 inch deep). Just an idea, if you'll be doing one for your daughter, could be pretty cool to add her name on the layer before the last, for example with a cutting machine or cute handwriting, to have it personalised and the writing will stand out in front of the flowers 😊

Tres joli, vous faites secher la resine a chaque fois ?pourquoi ?
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts 4 месяца назад
Hello, thank you 🤗 I add 1cm every day because the resin I used has a maximum height of 1cm - there are different kinds. I could have used a resin capable of accepting a different height -deep pour-, but it is more expensive and takes much longer to dry (3 days instead of one for example). No matter what resin, the first layer must dry in which the flowers are placed, otherwise they would rise to the surface.

Hi. Is it ok to keep the flowers half exposed for 24 to 48 hrs or even more, when you pour resin in layers? Won't the exposed parts of the flower discolour?
@celineartsandcrafts
@celineartsandcrafts 3 месяца назад
Hi, I dried the flowers before so this is not a problem. But I think that if you would put flowers in the resin without drying them before, they will turn brown during or even after the resin pour. Except if you manage to seal everything very very well without air pockets, then they might stay colored. But drying the flowers is the easiest and safest way. Hope this helps 😊

Hi, it's depending on your location probably, I personally don't have any course nearby for resin. But you can learn a lot through RU-vid, there is a lot of tutorial videos and every creator has it's own tipps. If you are going for flowers, I highly recommend doing a small layer first to stick down the flowers otherwise they are going to float to the surface. For the resin itself you'll have to look at the specifications of the resin you choose, and carefully stick to their instructions as the temperature required, the mixing ratio etc. This is very important and can affect the piece at the end You can try on small things like coasters first 😊 good luck!
