Making a single action army belt and holster rig in black skirting leather with all the juicy ASMR sounds of leathercraft
This video was from 2019 but I’ve been wanting to try out this #shorts thing and see how it goes.

Just over here trying out the new RU-vid Shorts feature. This is not a substitute for my regular project videos. In the future these will probably have their own place on RU-vid but as for now, the only way to upload is by doing it this way and using #shorts. Sorry if it's annoying, i'll probably be recycling some old videos while i'm experimenting with this new feature. Either way, thanks for your support and sticking around while I try out weird things;)

These are cool, thanks! Could you link the original full videos with these shorts for anyone interested in watching the whole thing? (Or maybe read up on the details, like leather type, thickness, etc.)

Hey man, love the vids, been into leatherworking since the start of covid and love it. Question for ya, I'm looking to get a walking foot sewing machine for small bags/wallets, and I see a ton of people using a specific Juki, and recall you had one in the past. What model was it, and would you still recommend it? Looking to be all-in for something like 1200 bucks or so.
@whitandpark
@whitandpark 3 года назад
right on man, thank you! Yeah i have a juki 1508 which is great for wallets. But it's a flatbed so it's not great for most bags. If you're hoping to do some bags and wallets I would probably recommend a machine similar to the Juki 341 mechanism. There are a bunch of clones of that machine by cowboy, cobra, etc...The one I would recommend is the Cobra class 26. Tandy has them as well as Leather machine co. It would be better than finding an actual juki 341 because it would come with a speed reducer already installed. Unfortunately it won't be in that price range but it'll be pretty tough to find a machine in that price unless it's used
@whitandpark
@whitandpark 3 года назад
P.S used machines are a great way to go, it's just that it can be hard to find the right ones out there

@@whitandpark Makes sense to me, man. I’ll do a little research and maybe justify saving up or waiting a bit longer before snagging one. Appreciate the response, and of course appreciate the time spent on the socials dude. I’m a digital designer so a lot of the production end of things transferred to leatherworking, which was great, but holy crap the amount of respect I have for you and other leather craft channels is immense. Taking all the time to make videos, come up with content, photograph everything, all of that kind of stuff while still managing the day to day without a big team... props man, keep the hustle going.

Hi Kevin, what exactly do you mean? I'm still posting my regular project videos once a week, how did I forget the small guys? As I mentioned in the pinned comment on this video. I'm experimenting with a new RU-vid feature called #shorts. So i'm re-hashing some old videos while seeing how this works. This doesn't take place of my normal project videos
