I will be using the lost PLA method to turn a 3d print to solid bronze. I started by printing the model on my Prusa I3 Mk2 3d printer using a plastic called PLA. Then I coated the 3d print with a ceramic material called Suspendaslurry. I then fired the shell in my ceramic kiln which removes the PLA plastic and vitrified the shell. Then I melted bronze in my homemade keg foundry furnace and poured the bronze into the ceramic mold. This is similar to the lost wax casting process.
