You are amazing. I am studying camp kitchens for the purpose of building one, and was wondering if anyone had ever used corrugated cardboard in the building process. Your video inspired me. It is very well done, and you are a teacher. Thank you for sharing your genius so eloquently.
Use four tomato paste cans, or four small sliced mushroom cans and include a box of wax dipped (to waterproof) wood kitchen safety matches in your box, and a aluminum pie tin for starting your charcoal.
I would have used two boxes...with crumpled paper in between both for insulation. Not a bad idea if there is not sun. But you need to have the coal..and perhaps the coal fluid if it wont ignight. I also rather use the solar box..with the sun... Id use this method as a back up..good thinking though
The extra box and insulation are simply not needed. These work fantastic as described. Solar ovens don't work well at night, or cloudy days, so these are essential for baking, especially at night. Coal is not a problem for me as I camp in the woods. Charcoal is more consistent and reliable than coal from typical scavenged firewood. I use both depending on my needs
hi, i am going to try in making one, and a question crossed my mind, can i use a foil blanket or formally known as space blanket instead of normal kitchen foil?? thanks
