Making a Chess Board With No Table Saw, Planer, or Jointer

I’m enjoying your video very much. There’s not nearly enough hand tool woodworking on RU-vid. One bit of constructive “criticism”…..lose the PVA glue. Hide glue has been holding furniture together for centuries….a chess board would be effortless, for said glue….and cleanup, even after it cures is a breeze. Looking forward to your next project.

This turned out awesome, I love it! I really like the edge banding you put around the board itself before attaching the walnut surround.

I gotta say the resultant product is awesome, however, this has to be a personal board, you can never make any money with this amount of work. You spent sooo much time correcting errors that the video was hard to watch. To see all the work was just boring. Invest in a silicone brush for your glue. When you spread with your hands you introduce oil from your hands and reduce the tactility of the glue. Sorry.
