Making a chicken pen from a dog crate. 

My young chicks are still too small to integrate with the older chickens. They outgrew the smaller dog crate I had, so now it's time to move onto the large dog crate.
In this video, I show how I use pieces of cardboard, secured with zip ties, to try and keep the pine chips in the crate. The project is a success and the chicks love the increase in space. I've also used this dog crate as a "Chicken Jail" when one of them needs to be segregated for some reason.
