Где этот лайфхак был раньше?! 7 лет подряд на даче в Московской области урожай кокосов по старинке молотком и зубилом кололи всей семьей. Уже теще сказал срубим пальмы и посадим кабачки, а она говорит в нашей широте они не растут. Спасибо автору!

Nice design, I would recommend to add extra safety tools to prevent unwanted accidents, for example you can allow user to put the coconut by dropping it in a container where it can slide smoothly to the cutting slot without being contacted with bare hands.
За изобретение - 5, а за безопасность - 2. Нужно предусмотреть защитный кожух, причем сконструировать все таким образом чтобы установка останавливала рез когда нож находится вверху, а запускалась только тогда когда в зону действия помещен объект для резки и обязательно убраны руки (при чем обе). Это пока все красиво, а неприятности в том числе и непоправимые происходят как правило по запаре. Поэтому их лучше предусмотреть заренее. Целее будете.
Improvement needed as per my knowledge: 1) It need Limit switch where to stop after one cut (like wiper moment..) 2) after pressing 2 button from two hand (Safety switch) simultaneously it should make next move to ensure the safety of operators hand
My skin crawls when I see someone Welding without proper PPE, Personal Protective Equipment! My first Job as an Apprentice Boilermaker, my Mentor was an elderly Blacksmith! What a Blessing for me, as he was very willing to share his knowledge! He had a terrible habit of Welding without gloves, and only wearing a TeeShirt, so his hands, arm's and throat area were Unprotected from the RADIATION of the Welding! I pleaded with him to be better protected! If I burnt only a Welding Rod or Two, with my shirt too open in the Voice BoX area, it felt numb! I started wearing a Turtel Neck under my Long sleeved Work Shirt too protect my Throat area! My old mentor did DIE of Skin Cancer!

Wearex Toys, Thanks for a very good design of Tender Coconut Cutter. Greetings! But you must add very safe guard cowls to this. Else, the oscillating cutting blade is too dangerous to operate. Please add also a Cutter Blade parking mechanism to rest it after each stroke.
Do you think it would be a good idea to add sides to the stand the coconut rests on while you hold it in place? I see a coconut slipping and your hand falling under the blade as the blade makes contact. Maybe completely unlikely which it is but just asking what you think? Pretty cool device either way!

Ha - - - ha - - ha - - haaah! This reminds me the "Automated version of that French Guillotin!!" Provide heavy guard nets. I made one years ago and am using it still. But it has very heavy guard netting against accidents. Furthermore, as added safety, it has a set of press switches at the base plate away from the cutter that has to be pressed SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH BOTH HANDS. This keeps the hands away from the cutter blade area, So, even if one hand slips, the cutter blade stops dead midway and overrides the parking switch. Thanks.
question: did the container Leak where u mounted the blue painted Coconut holder? didnt see u place any type of rubber rings or anything to seal it up when u tightened it down? my guess because u didnt that u relied on the softness of the tote to seal up those 4 bolts... problem is it will leak there unless u seal it with silicon food grade or rubber grommets.

Cái giá để trái dừa đó với ốc bắt nên dùng bằng loại inox 304 sẽ hay hơn, vì dùng bằng sắt sẽ sét nước chứa trong đó sẽ k dùng được, còn inox thì k bị sét bởi nước dừa với mỗi khi bổ dừa xong vệ sinh củng dễ dàng hơn

NOBODY in their right mind welds bearings!. especially frictionless bearings!. it takes out the temper and they wear out fast.. instead, you make a bearing holder and weld that on to the part you need a bearing on, and then fit the bearing in the holder, and secure it with allen screws!!..
Few months ago I had visited chamundi hill temple in Mysuru in India. They are still using traditional method to crack coconut and wasting precious water in it. Daily 100's of coconuts are being cracked there. Almost same situation all over india. They should think over this machine.
