The interesting part is there is a thread count on the ball! Those guys sewing is plucking that freehand into the leather, that is a mad skill in its own right.
They don't concern about this .I saw a video of preparing cricket bats which also require more hard working but they get low remuneration .BCCI must give some special attention in this regard .
I only counted four stitches on the balls in this video. Yes, other brands have 6, like Dukes and Kookaburra. On a Kookaburra, only the four inner stitches, go right through to hold the ball together. The outer row is only for decoration. Dukes is the only brand of cricket ball, that gas 6 stitches, going all the way through, to hold both halves of the ball together.
The thing is, they happily do this because they absolutely LOVE cricket! To anyone who has seen a test match or actual cup match when the Indian cricket team is playing your ears get blown out by how loud they are cheering, they love it not for the winning but for the game itself and how it draws a huge crowd over there EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!
