Making a crooked knife & carve a spoon 

I make a crooked knife to carve spoons, bowls etc. aka curved knife , carving knife, hook knife or mocotaugan. Ever since I saw a crooked knife on a Ray Mears show I loved the idea of this 'portable workshop'. So now, I finally make one of these crooked knives using my newly acquired small anvil. I forge the blade out of a very small piece of leftover file from the tanto project. The handle is burnt on and carved ot of some birch. At the end I put it to the test and quickly carve a rough spoon out of some pine.
