Search for it on Amazon and eBay. They are usually the cheapest places to get it from. If you need leather, just check out your local second hand store. They often have leather scraps from sofas and handbags.
No , I don't think it has to do with weather. This problem occures often. Sometimes I get a good bandset, sometimes I get a bad one. Still haven't been able to figure out why they all break so early. It always happens on the left band. It gets ripped up some way while the other is intact. And about roller cutters, I do have one and there's nothing wrong about it. The issue lies in tying the bands.
