My old 'YRC' terminal was in Bolingbrook, IL. Drove for them for a couple of years. Regional LTL, relay (doubles and long-box trailers)....just terminal-to-terminal. Very easy, no sleeping in the truck, paid-for and decent hotels. Went from Bolingbrook, IL to Copley, OH (near Akron) almost nightly. Also used to drive to St. Louis, Nashville, St. Paul, Columbus, etc. I left before 'YRC' (then called 'Yellow') went bankrupt and dissolved into nothingness. Developed blood clots in my right leg and had to quit driving, which was fine with me. One of the things that sucked about 'YRC' was having to haunt the rail yards to get my own trailers, especially on the weekends. Pain in the @$$.
I was gonna say truck stop Prices are OUTRAGEOUS LOL My dad drove 40 years OTR , his last truck was a brand new 2014 T680 KW fully Loaded Mini fridge, microwave TV.
Alex, Did you know that the tyres on your semi is from Apollo tyres, India. They also own Vredestein. Quite popular and good quality tyres they make. Hope to see you having no trouble whatsoever with these tyres for long miles
So you have a potential dot violation on your windshield. There's not supposed to be anything in your line of sight. I don't know how this is so common, i see it alot. Also, driving so slow with other trucks around is a big FU to those drivers who's path you blocking. Get a clue get the F out of the way!
Rookie driver. You never put a truck through a wash unless completely necessary. You are wasting time and money. You rookies dont have a sense of anything anymore. Glad to be retiring soon i cant stand all these new rookies
Hello ! I am French (from France) and I discovered your RU-vid channel a few days ago. I find it interesting to see an American truck driver share with us the daily life of his work in the USA. That's a change from French truck drivers who do this job in Canada. It's interesting to see the American vision of the profession. I'm not a truck driver myself, but I'm passionate about trucks and I find American trucks magnificent. 👍
Temporary tattoo, pause and look at the broken and rubbed off sections. Probably checking to see if he wants to get a sleeve that big before committing.
Alex, I am a lifelong resident here in Flint, MI. I am also a trucker! Flint isn't so bad! I wish I had been home to meet you, but I'm presently OTR right now, too. Our city has tried very hard to overcome the stigma that we have been under...
Vehicle City! My Dad grew up near Ballenger Park. He was OTR for 30+ years for Domino's and just passed away 2 weeks ago. This video hit me in the feels.
@mj_2332 Me too! Condolences 🙏🏽 to you and your family! It's some beautiful people here and some great things going on. I'm 58, and my maternal and paternal family still live here. My grandfather, Arthur Roper, Sr., owned the Tropicana Bar on Industrial Street. I have a home here, and Flint is what made me!
Finally a new video from Alex! Are you getting burnt out on RU-vid or in trucking? Seems like you’ve stopped posting as frequently. I was getting burnt out after 4 years otr/regional. I just started with a flatbed company going through training now and it’s renewed my love for being behind the wheel. Stay safe driver!
I live just outside. Yeah it’s getting pretty bad. I started trucking for Martin Trucking in 85’.Flint parts are getting better. Took someone to Hurley hospital the other day. Not bad. Trip to sucked.
You're probably a nice guy and ur videos are ok but damn you add so much drama to them. The commentary is full of drama. The driving has a lot of drama. Almost every turn u make. Any car that makes a lane change that you don't like. Whenever ur unsure of where you are going which is a lot. It's funny and frustrating. If you would just use Google maps to route urself to ur customers or anything that's better than blindly going by that GPS. That's funny and annoying. I've seen you on roads that you have no business being on bc ur gps is telling you where to go. Your supposed to know where to go ahead of time and let the GPS pick up on it and reroute. But you do you. I'm not trying to change you just trying to help.
It's put on for the sake of entertainment. Most truckers don't actually complain about every turn or car, he just puts them in so the video isn't just dead air.
That's not a fake tattoo. He probably got it recently and the parts look more faded and rubbed off are where the scabbing has come off amd the darker spots are where the scab is still at. Anyone's that has tattoos knows this fun process as it sucks.
@@danielwerner5882it’s fake Mr. Wanna be know it all. He posted on IG saying it was fake already. He planning on getting the real deal. Hope he does. Nothing beats the feeling of a good tat
Alex, don't you have a Yard Move selection on your ELD? It allows you to move around in a on duty not driving mode. If you want to know more about it just ask
What r u doing? Ur reposting videos and editing others into shorts... so ur scamming the youtube community! R u even driving right now? I'm heading to gp so I'll let everyone know wtf ur faking
That is my hometown. That Coke cola is about a couple of blocks where I grew up at on Lapeer rd. And you delivered on my birthday. Flint is not that bad in that neighborhood.
Good thing you didn't try to stop at the rest stop at the 128 of 69. It's always full. Owosso is a nice place. I live 10 min from there and I work in flint
