Nice fly! I’ve seen some big bass get airborne chasing Dragonflies in the summer. I caught a few on one I tied using a pipe-cleaner body, and ziplock plastic for wings. I’ll be tying some of these up for Spring. Thanks a lot! 👍🎣👌

@@MainelyFlies I just want to say thank you!!! You’ve gotten me into fly tying and ever since I’ve been catching big fish on your flys. I’ve seen other fly tiers on youtube and you are the best out of all of them! You make it so simple and easy to tie a fly and especially for a 12 year old myself. On one of your streamer videos I caught a 38 inch red fish off of it. That was my biggest red fish and probably will be for the rest of my life, and to catch it on a 8wt fly rod was just amazing! Works fine on a shorter stiff leader section for bass. I've never tried it with these wings, though. Only used poly yarn

@Mainely Flies I can do most things to an ok level but always crush the feather when putting wings on. What type feather do you suggest is best for white wings.

I did try medium hackle and pulling fibres down to base of hackle and tying in. Its a bit fickle tk do but looks good when you get it. You have to do one wing at a time but worth it.
