one of the hands down clearest and well explained tutorials - It's a lot to cover, and this is covered well, and with enough scope to also explore on your own. I'd also say that it's the little things in this tutorial that really push it above- like screencast keys, or every so often re-explaining shortcuts. Looking forward to seeing more tutorials from this channel

Hey, here's a weird question - how might you delay the start of this (or any) simulation. Say I wanted to have 3 "emitter planes" (to have multiple "launch" times and locations) and have one start kind of around when the last "embers" are falling from the first explosion, and then another right after that. Can a delay be accomplished through a geo nodes setup (unique setup for each emitter plane - 2 of them with "later" start times), or is there some other way to accomplish this? I tried keyframing the (enabled/disabled) state of the emitters, hoping the simulation would start once they become enabled, but the simulation seems to start and end at the same time for all of them, meaning its over by the time they are enabled.

Nevermind, I figured it out - A Switch node before the Simulation Output connecting the existing simulation as true and geometry output from the Simulation Input as false. Switch is controlled by scene time through a Greater Than node with the desired frame number as the value.

Is there a trick to rendering this in eevee? whenever I try rendering this in eevee none of my points show up at all.

How to bake this simulation so we can duplicate the current work and work on another modification but also seeing previous result.

I have some problem and thought to get the file. What is the price. It says $2 one place, $5 another, and in the text it is says you can get it for free. But change the value. Nothing happens. until i type in $5. The problem i have is that it looks like it creates a lot of "rockets" but dont look like what is shown on video. Up to frame 23 it slowing down the computer. But i can break it and get back to start.

Hello! It's a "pay what you want" product. So $2 is the default. Feel free to enter in $0 if you want or some people feel generous and give more. For the file try reducing the number of particles and rockets and it should run better. LMK if you have any other questions. -Theo

@@Miesnermedia For the payment. That is the problem. Entering other numbers than $5 makes it not progress to the checkout screen. The button just flash and nothing happens. only when type $5 it makes the progress. Can not change it afterward ether.

Thanks for helping me troubleshoot! It should be working now. It's my first time using Gumroad so I'm still figuring out the little details. Did reducing the particle count help with performance?

@@Miesnermedia I think i have some big problem with the trail. It almost look solid by the number of particles. More like a trail from a Saturn V than a firework. But dont see where i have the problem.
