In this video I make a game in unity with the random theme It Spreads. I was slightly ambitious with the limited amount of time but I got something that "WORKS"... . . Pls Subscribe . . . Music: ♪ Yoshi's Island OST #devlog
[COMPOSITION OF ALL COMMENTS] - - - - - 1:12 I don’t wanna be that person, but you know about switch statements, right? - - - - - 5:38 I'm not 100% sure since I don't see the entire code, but usually when you expect a list to contain a value but it doesn't, it's often because because it's a different object but with the same value. I.e.: You store a Vector2 with values (0,0) and then check if the list contains a new Vector2 with values (0,0). It returns false because while their value is the same, their adress/id is different. Perhaps unless there's an '==' operator defined in the struct, which Vector2s might have so this example might be wrong. Long story short, I always try to store references instead of instances in a list (classes usually have references while structs and primitives usually have instances), or primitives such as an id or index bc those also work. - - - - - 6:43 It's really hard to tell the exact reason from this clip, but it's hard to wrap your head around Unity's animator/animaton system, there's a lot of tweaking involved. One tip is that you might want to use a bool to store if the button is highlighted instead of a trigger. Pressed can either stay a trigger or set/toggle said bool depending on what you want to happen when you click it. - - - - - You have a lot to learn young padavan. It's okay, we all have to start somewhere.
