Making a garden in the small yard of the house / My first gardening Vlog 

Hello, I have been watching you for a while We live in a house since I was born My mom is German so she likes to plant flowers/ herbs and create a flower border within the garden english cottage style.🌸 I noticed from my experience a few things: 1- When you are creating a flower border around concrete always plant the tallest one on the back; the shorter one to the front. Don’t plant them all in one row; always layer them. Don’t plant them scarcely; plant them dense. 2- Rose wants a lot of sunlight and wind so the concrete wall will prevent it. Rose grows so quickly that it only allows other bushes near them. You either can create a small cluster of roses together or if you plant flowers near them, it needs to be shorter than the rose. I would plant the cockscomb and marigold in front of the roses because both do not grow to be taller. But in my opinion these kind of miniature roses can also be grown in a pot by themselves. Roses dominate the area so they are better alone 😂 3- Salvia is an alpine plant so it likes shadow and calm wind. It will remain the same length so I’d plant them in front of the chamomile and rudbeckia; creating texture and foliage. 4- Hydrangeas hate hate hate sunlight and open wind. I noticed that the area where you planted the hydrangeas receives a lot of sunlight. They will die. They need shadow and no wind. Also hydrangeas like to be around more hydrangeas so you should always plant them in clusters; they will spread out but first you need to plant them very dense. 5- I noticed that where you planted the lavenders there is a lot of shadow so maybe switching the hydrangeas with lavenders would be better. Lavenders love the heat, sun, and dryness. If they get too much water and shadow, they will wither and die. 6- At the concrete wall you have pockets. When I saw these pockets I thought about alpine rock garden. Google it. Alpine plants naturally grow in the crooks of stones so their native environment is those kind of walls. Succulents are also a good option. Also lampranthus is an african plant that likes to spread out quickly like a carpet. So it is also ideal in the concrete pockets. Good luck 👍🏻🍀

I have a small garden in front of my house too. When I have kids, I will let them run around, touch and feel the nature in stead of sticking to the smart phone. This is a lovely video. Wish your family is doing okay.

When me and Family move from the city to a country house we also spend very good times in the garden, building lovely memories. Your child will never forget theses days! You should put the hydrangeas more apart from each other, because they grow and take a lot of space. Have a great weekend ❤

You know, I live in Provence, in France, where there are lots of lavender. And it's amazing, for sure, but there are also lots of rosemary and thyme in the mountains, going on hikes is an exceptionnal experience here ! Hope that if you ever get to go through the Lavender Roas, you'll remember this comment and enjoy and embrace everything that our country has to offer :) I used to dislike my country, ever since I started to gain interest on other countries, such as Korea, for instance. But as time flies by, I realised that my country is soooo beautiful, I now can see why people would want to visit it so badly.. I think the main reason I began to dislike it is because of the people and the crisis that the country has faced these last few years... Anyway ! I enjoyed your video sooooo much ! This is such a precious video ! Growing up, I remember always wanting to do what my parents where doing, so the kitchen and broom part of the video hit close to home. I was never allowed to water the lawn because water would get everywhere and looking back, these are some of my favorite memories. Thank you for reminding me of my fond memories with my parents! You have such a beautiful family !

My grandfather always said gardening is a slow sport because by the time you know what you are doing, you'll be 70! I have to agree with him but I think you're off to a great start. The lavender is going to be beautiful once it gets bigger!

Beautifull 💓 but I suggest reading online if certain flowers don’t need more space(I think you guys put them too close to each other in the soil)❤️

Hydrangeas like a lot of water. You should put mulch on the whole flower bed to keep in moisture and it will help keep out weeds. Flowers don’t like to compete with grass. Grass is too invasive. It looks pretty! You bought many perennials which will come back every year!

Watching this, makes me remember how I love to gardening when I was a child. I planted most of flower in my home, and also I did plant some fruit and vegetables too.

Currently I dont have a garden but I do care for orchids indoors. They grow well so I made my own indoor garden with only orchids. Its a small hobby that I enjoy, soon I can have a family and garden, appreciate the moments like this 😌
