@andrewlawrence6357 Well spent money , I was going to get the 30-06, but at the last minute, I went with the 308 , only because of a little less recoil, but you can't beat these rifles.
I love the three positions safety the gun has The only issue for the safety I’ve heard of was guys not being that cautious and cutting themselves on the safety
In 2021 I purchased a T/C Compass II .308 Win. I have been nothing but pleased with it and hunted with it last season. With the factory synthetic stock, which has aluminum pillar bedding. I put on a Falcon Strike hydraulic recoil pad and a silencerco ASR2 brake. And a Goda Grip finger grips and cheek riser pad, and some craft foam and vet tape to get a higher cheek. .5 MOA. But I really like chassis. MDT does not make one for it but their subsidiary, Oryx does. So, I have it in an Oryx chassis and averaging .5 MOA, sometimes a smidge better and that is all me. The better I am, the better it shoots. Turns out that it really likes Federal Fusion 165 grain. So, that is what I buy and practice and hunt with.
@@MrBryanJollie Oryx is heavier. I cannot find a published weight of just the composite stock from T/C Arms. The stock I have is a bit modified. I have on it a Falcon Strike hydraulic, which is a few ounces. Some Goda Grip pads and craft foam and vet tape for a cheek riser. I just checked and it was 2.95 lbs, just shy of 3 pounds. If I discount the weight of those things and put back the factory pad and the recoil lug, it is probably close the same. Per Oryx, their chassis weighs 4.2 pounds. Not quite 1.5 pounds heavier and more comfortable and accurate. What will affect weight more than this is a big scope. Mine in the Oryx with a 5-25X56 FFP scope and a loaded 20 rd mag is 12 lbs.

This is the first time that I have loved the music that went with a video. Thank you. Also thank you for the information on your mods to your compass I just bought one a couple of weeks ago. That being said most of the music that people put up their videos just absolutely sucks and doesn't match the pace of the video at all.
So i ordered the same gun in the 338 win-mag can you tell me if the bullet is the same diameter? Because im thinking about a muzzle brake for the gun. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Nice boyd stock by the way.
I bought my Compass in 300 Win Mag 4 or 5 years ago and immediately put an At-One stock on it and my groups tightened up. Honestly, it wasn't terribly inaccurate to start with. I just hated the original stock. The improvement was noticeable though.
You know I just got out to the range today for the first time in probably 8 months and I did take it and use it. I am very happy with it. It’s a bit tricky with an Ar and 30 round mag but it worked. So short answer, yes I would buy it again. That said, for a high recoiling gun it would not be the best , but I would say up to 308 it’s great.
How does one know if they have the compass 1st Gen or the 2nd gen. Are their model number variations? Simple Un sarcastic answer is all I'm asking for? Lol...
