Make sure you hammer the rock with the point facing your femoral artery, thats a crucial step in getting to the next video, "how to craft a tourniquet from 47 squirrel nutsacks"

Find a bear that recently died, or box one to death. Make sure you remind the bear that it can not defeat you without opposable thumbs. This will demoralize the bear and cause it to give up.
I don't know much about bears, but from what you guys are saying, I might be over estimating a bears toughness , I bet I could armbar that bear into submission! 🙂
@@SxTxferlife no Life expectancy was so low because of the infant mortality rate Aside from that common misconception, this thing isn't as deadly sharp as the gentle kids in these comments keep saying The expert craftsman in the video is holding the thing with his bare hands
@Malachi Stice true, tho if someone were to contract cancer they'd have a short life, but then again life expectations varied wildly throughout the world, like in the filthy cities Is where I'm assuming the low life expectatancy mythos developed during this time. Tho it is waaaaay more complicated than that fore sure as well. You are still indeed right my good sir
To everyone confused to the context and supposed "plot holes" ill try to address it 1. "Why he have bear fat?" I think the intent of the video is to show how people in a stone age (neolithic) time crafted their tools. People commonly hunted bear for the fatty meat and used bear fat to oil bows, hair, wood handles, etc. so bear oil was surprisingly common in ancient times. Was a common trade item as well so i think the idea is this is how someone in a village w access to resources like bear oil and previously made tools would make a new axe. 2. "Why he already have an axe/blade?" He was using either a handaxe, or a celt (type of stone axe) intended to be hafted but serving a dual purpose as a hand axe, a common tool to be had in those times. If u didnt have one im sure u could borrow or make a new one. Also its not obsidian, its likely a chert or flint. (Stop playing minecraft so much go oustide). In the context of them in the village w access to stuff this makes sense also, and the way he was splitting it (slowly one tap at a time) was no danger to his femoral artery. 3. " Where the rawhide come fwom??" See question #1 about bear
Thank you Sir I've been catching a lot of flak, for using my thigh as a brace in the vid,the camera angle makes it look dangerous, but I was well out of the way ,almost 50 years experience in experimental archeology and primitive skills,,No injuries thus far.
I love that one with the guy who has long white hair. He just sticks it in with some tree sap as if it won’t fall out after a couple swings😂 this is nice though
Cool. All I have to do as find a rock to chip into an axe head. Split some tree branches. Kill a bear for some fat to grease it and kill a deer for some sinew to tie it all together. Or bring a hatchet from the camping store😮
