Build a hedgehog house out of logs, twigs and leaves! I had great fun building a shelter for the hedgehogs we discovered in our garden recently. I hope they enjoy the grassy beds I made for them.

If you don’t have logs and leaves, you can use bricks and/or planks of wood.
We did this a little while ago so the baby hedgehogs had time to grow before the cold starts. If you find a hedgehog and it looks small just before the winter, take it to your local wildlife centre. Hedgehogs need to be over a certain weight to survive the winter months. We also provided some cat food (not fish based) and fresh water. Never feed hedgehog milk - it gives them a poorly tummy.
