@@gabtechexpo4017 I second that, rather start your own company. I had my doubts when I started watching, started off looking like something you would use to ice a cake, quickly... This is the first time I have seen a video of someone completeing the soda-can mockup of theory, stopping just short of the combustion. I would like to have seen an Infrared video of the engine body in operation. Well done!

One small touch, there is no Brayton Cycle, also known as the Joule Cycle, because there is no compressor or shaft driving the turboprop and the turboprop is driven by an electric motor. It would be very hard to implement a compressor driving the turboprop at this small scale and material level, especially because most compressors run inverted to the turboprop they are driving (they turn the other way and have the blades facing oppositely so it works and inverts their rotation direction when they drive the turboprop. For context, the turboprop is the propeller at the intake with the spike for aerodynamics and the compressor would be at the other side to use the force of the fuel and high speed air to spin like a turbine and drive the turboprop.

A Jet engine with these modifications is dropping tomorrow. I experiment literally every simple concepts you can ever imagine so as to understand every bit of a jet engine operation starting from just burning gas with a an EDF fan blowing the flame outwards regardless of the fact it’s not a jet engine. Some times you might not even know what it may turn out to be. I understand how a fully functioning jet engine works but I choose to experiment all the way down till that point.

The motor won’t burn because it’s in the cool side of the engine. The hot side is in the back. Even though this is an electric turboprop engine and doesn’t have a hot side compressor to drive the turboprop, a hot side and cold side still exist. The hot side includes the combustion chamber, the 25 mm cake nozzle, the nichrome heating element, the gas inlet, and the exhaust. The cold side includes the turboprop, the 35 mm cake nozzle, and the *electric motor*

It’s called fiberglass fire sleeve which you can get from any store that sells electric cooker spare parts.

Am at the phase of trying to get a decent amount of thrust from that Jet engine which then permits me on going to self sustained. On testing this Jet engine, I was able to generate way more thrust compared to my previous designs which stands out to be a great upgrade. In my next vid, I will be installing a propeller at the hot gas exhaust to drive a propeller and send back that rotary force unto the compressor and the process repeats. Hopefully I get it self sustained, ensure you sub so you won’t miss out or always come check out the Channel.

No but nichrome boasts excellent oxidation resistance, maintaining its structural integrity even at elevated temperatures. These properties, combined with good mechanical strength and ductility, make nichrome wire an optimal choice for spring production. Stainless steel, chrome vanadium and music wire are basically the most popular steel alloys for spring production
