I agree with you. But if you think about it that way, more lives are lost every time we eat one meal. I would like to explain why I use “VERA PELLE” association leather and vegetable tanned leather, but it would be too long a story. I also don't want people taking lives just to get the leather. I want people to value leather and use it for a longer period of time. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts.

Nice work, you spent a lot of time cutting out those pieces very straight just to have to cut them off again when trimming them to match. And you even rounded the edges before you glued everything together and had to cut most of them off and re-sand and shape the finished project. I am learning as I go so thanks for the video; now I know to plan my projects before I attempt them.

I know nothing about leather working but I’m infatuated by these videos. I have two questions. First, is there any use for the small scraps of leather you trim off or do you just throw it away? I know with wood working saw dust when mixed with glue is a great way to fix cosmetic imperfections and I was wondering if there was a use for even the smallest scraps of leather. Also what is the surface of your table? It seems to hold up really nicely to your sharp tools, is there some kind of plastic layer on top or some kind of hard epoxy finish? Awesome videos. I’m addicted now.

Hi. The first answer, discard pieces that are too small. It's useless. It's different from trees. Slightly larger pieces are used for testing purposes or when making small props. The second answer, it is "pvc flexible sheet". If it is thin and soft, it will be cut, so use a little hard and thick one. I use 4mm thick. Thank you for watching the video.😄

This is a beautiful journal cover, thanks for the free pattern. I may give this one a try! That tool you used to roll the tokonole or whatever you used on the edges - do you know what it is called and/or where you got it? It looks pretty handy.

Hi, absolutely love your work! I purchased your template and can't wait to try my hand at making a poor imitation. Question, at about 1:50 in your video you're coating the underside of the leather and then burnishing with what looks like glass. Is the white fluid watered down Tokonole or perhaps something else? Thanks!

Thank you for purchasing the pattern!! No water was used. 'Tokonole' undiluted solution was used as is. To shine, you can also rub it with a cotton cloth. But for leveling, glass is better.
