This red cedar tree, more than 450 years old, is being transformed into an ocean-going Tlingit dugout canoe in Haines Junction, Yukon.
A small group of youth from the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations is helping to build the vessel with the guidance of a master dugout boat builder.

Super cool. Part of me wishes I could learn this craft but I'm so far removed and living a very different life right now. Really cool to witness though. Thanks for the video.
