looks great! Walnut is a beauty to work with. Just seeing you chisel away with ease make me want to go out and make something right now! Thanks for sharing Brent!
Thanks, Grant! You’re not kidding about chiseling with ease either. I couldn’t believe it at first! You may as well get out in the shop and start working on something! It’s not like you’ve got much else to do right now!
The Grant Alexander Haha! I saw something recently that made me laugh: I feel bad for all the guys who told their wives “I’ll get to it when I have time”
Thanks Billie! It’s definitely worth making! It’s handy as can be!

Dear friend. Nice design. The wood color you use is also great. Decorative and stylish. congratulations. thank you for sharing. Yours truly. Great greetings....
Beautiful phone valet! It always amazes me how you can get such intricate angles to work. I like the watch charger embedded in the wood. I wanted to do the same using a Qi charger for phones.
Thank you, Richard! Working with different angles is just a matter of planning and dry runs before making the cut. It’s a fun challenge to work through! I’m sure you can get the Qi charger figured out with a little creativity.
Nice job Brent! Looks like you are getting really good at mortice and tenon joints. We will need to get you started on hand cut dovetails. You could make some beautiful little walnut treasure boxes for your helpers!
Thank you, Bob! I think you are right! It’s time to get more serious about joinery. I’ll have to hit you up once this craziness settles down and people can interact in person again.
Thank you so much, Harki! I’m really digging this one too. And OF COURSE I put the sanding toward the end! If I put it at the beginning, nobody would stick around for the rest of the video!
Love it! Definitely need something like this. Love the router work and techniques with the stop blocks - great plan and fantastic build all around! D and I laughed out loud at the 3-degree miter saw part. ;)
Haha! Thanks! I see lots of freehand router working and wanted to make a point that it doesn’t have to be so stressful. Also, I was hoping I didn’t make the miter mess up too subtle 😁
White Lab Workshop I’ll try my best buddy. Like you said it has many meanings these days, so at the very least make sure you don’t get any woodworking injuries.
