What Micarah does when she has a day off: create a beautiful dress in one day, being incredibly talented and gorgeous What I do when I have a day off: watch endless videos about Micarah creating dresses
This video was how I found you. I'm older and was just picking up sewing and you showed me that sewing isn't as terrifying as I thought. You don't even measure with numbers which makes me feel less stressed. Anyway, I came for the sewing and stayed for the personality.
I have no clue why their entertaining, but they are, so I watch happily lol Sewing is actually quite simple, just thread and needle with a knot (depends on the stitch) or a sewing machine (but they can be quite pricey)
I'm amazed? This dress is GOOD, and yes the gold DOES suit you!!!! And you have a very nice voice? And cute hair? And talent? Excuse me, I love. Please tell me you do this professionally, because the fashion world NEEDS you.
I love how you've evolved from transfering an actually pattern onto an aldi's bag and then into the fabric, to literally just flopping down on the table and Tracing yourself
the problem is when people go on shows for tv etc is that they become known for only that one thing and fame and all related is so fickle, she has done so well already on her own and sure the only way is up
Omg. you. Are. My. Idol. That dress is beautiful, just like you (I am not hitting on you by the way). It is so crazy that you could do this in only 24 hours!! And you are right, that bodest is fitting you perfectly. I envy your fabric collection. You had me, when you made the joke about the type of clocks... I am currently making a summer dress for myself and until now, I am three days in (including a week of break time). But that is because I’m a perfectionist, so nothing can be crooked and has to be resewn and I take ages to draw a pattern piece. Right now I am trying to figure out how to do the skirt part, with the limited fabric I have.Well, it is my first big project so I guess it’s okey. Lots of admiration, Tabea ❤️
Aww thank you! Good luck on the dress! I admire perfectionists like you. Most of what I do is fairly sloppy, so hopefully someday I'm more like you! And as for my collection, honestly most of what I have comes from years of hitting up the curtain sections of goodwill and Salvation Army!
Micarah Tewers oh I never thought of that. I might try it Although, in Germany we don't have these stores, only second hand shops, but that's fine as well Actually the dress I am making is made out of old sheets we had lying around. (I am still not done, struggling with the zipper now..)
Micarah Tewers oh have no experience with editing whatsoever But I can show it to you on Instagram if you like, my account is what.about.it.xx I don't have it up yet, but I am planning on :) I already follow you with my private account
I made a dress for my mom for Christmas out of t shirts, I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it without all the things I’ve learned from your channel. Thanks Micarah!
Yaaass okay seriosly just wanted to share, I made my prom dress the day of. I started the night before and my machine broke so I hand sewed until 5 am the day of my prom, went to bed until 10 am and then went to prom. I didnt have time for a zipper so i just yeeted my dress off me at the end of the night.
I got the kim k (or one of those girls) dress video recommended and now im on a loop watching all of her videos and i dont even know how to sew or spell that xd
1. I love your step by step process (for a newbie with sewing, I understand what you're talking about because you explain it well for a newbie to understand.) 2. Your voice is soothing to listen to and your humor makes it enjoyable to watch. 3. I love the final look of your dress, It's very pretty and something i see myself wearing. Now I feel inspired to make a dress in 24 hours.
As wonderful as this video is, it just goes to show how your channel has evolved and how much more confident you are. I hope you continue to make many more videos for a long time. At least until I'm too old to figure out how to use the RU-vids.
Wow your like a sewing savant. I do numbers and make plans. Everytime I watch your videos I think why are you doing it that way and that's not going to work but it does. I'm amazed at how lovely your stuff turns out. Great job.
Bahaha! Girly I use sidewalk chalk all the time for making my own clothes 😂 you create fashion like I do 😂😂😂!!! Freaking hate store bought patterns 😭😂🙏
YES THE SEWING MACHINE SOUNDS SO FREAKING CUTE WHEN SPED UP. That’s literally my favorite part of every sewing tutorial ever and I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks about it!
Oh my. Seen this one before but it was so wonderful second time around. Made in a day. Seriously. I am a trained fashion design student and I take a day to just cut out and make all my markings for sewing darts, pleats etc. And I have been sewing for years. Your amazing at what you do with fabric. Well done on this one.
Super talented, super entertaining and that dress is AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS!!! and in one night. You should be on Project Runway!!! BTW .... I think the inserts you called darts are called godets. I have put this video in my favorites so I can refer back and make it as soon as I have somewhere to go that is worthy of this beautiful dress.
YAY 1 MILLION VIEWS! congratulations Micarah! I remember I watched this video at 4 am the day my textiles project was due and it helped me get through it without having a complete meltdown and giving up. You are an inspiration to all procrastinators and I wish u so much luck for the future❤️
0:38 holy shit, my grandparents have that dresser in my aunts old room. They also have a nightstand, bed and a desk with a chair (same style) that apparently used to have open shelves on it but they were taken off. That got it in like 1976. I never would’ve thought someone else would have them (that I’d see). Cool.
This is so weird! I've also had that same furniture set for the past almost 20 years! (at least it looks the same from what little I can see in the video and what you described)
I used to sew when I was young, especially big Elizabethan tapestry dresses for little girl’s. I’m just too old to now, and no little ones to sew for, but this is so nostalgic to watch for me, you making patterns and dramatic dresses. I miss doing it...I love this. Thanks!🥰
heck, there i was thinking about a cheaper version for those damn stability things.....and then you came along. Dear god, thank very much for this wonderful person and this brightness to use zip ties...Damn thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now i need to go to the hardware store :D
Hey I just started sewing so I lack a lot of skills but also I'm v impulsive so I'm gonna use this as a tutorial to make my own dress since I've been looking for a good one for ages but I don't like anything they sell in the stores... Wish me luck 😅💖
You are a very talented and adorably funny young lady. I’m still in shock that I watch these, but I can’t help myself. You make smile every time, thanks!
It turned out really beautiful to be honest. Its also fun to watch this because i love making random up cycled peices of clothing as well so good job :) and thank you for th inspo ♥
I have to tell you that I've become inspired by your videos! Somehow they came in my feed and im so intreguied with your fun personality and talent. I actually attempted to fix some of my clothes and did a decent job for my first time and enjoyed it too! Thanks for sharing yourself with us 😊💗
I’ve watched a few of your videos now, and don’t have any intentions to sew or make my own clothing but your personality keeps me here. Wishing you amazing success!
These videos always really inspire me to spontaneously make something. But then I relieze it's about 12:00pm and I'm lazy. And I respect the hell out of how cheap you manage to get your materials to make these beautiful dresses.
I've been wanting to make a prom dress and these videos you make are EXACTLY what I need it's almost as if the video idea was "making a prom dress if you were in Sara's exact situation"
