Beautiful work and a lot of patience. Give a hatchet a try, you can get very close to finishing dimensions with just a hatchet and then clean up with the plane.

Loved this video. I've not seen anyone make a sheath like that, pretty cool. Your take down pommel, ya that I like. GREAT job. Are you still creating?

Might just copy that sheath. Except I got some deer legs in the freezer Going to use tendons to tighten the leather on thoes cuts in the wood just to really secure it on.

A hatchet might have made a much quicker job of roughing the wooden part to your lines than that japanese plane.

Yes, the wood has cured for over a year, it is dry.
