One thing you could try is to put a much smaller diameter piece of pvc in the center of the ring blank . This would let you use less resin and concentrate more materials in the area that will make up the actual ring and cut down on the amount of work you have to do after it sets .

I'm a 20 year old woman, and I can tell you that if you made more feminine-looking rings like this, you'd be able to sell to an entirely new demographic. Women are a completely untapped part of the market that you should be going after. This is a beautiful ring and I would love to buy something like this. You should do more pieces like this and start marketing to women to expand your business.

@Med Otaku it's really hard to find high quality anything for women tbh. Clothing especially, but jewelry too sometimes. You can have the best components and still sacrifice good technique and high quality for appearance which is what happens a lot

I like how the texture of the flowers can be seen. I would have used bigger flakes though, to show more texture, and to take up more of the empty space.

Ya Boiii I believe you can get silicone moulds and UV curing resin, they also do colours some of them are fluorescent.

Resin rings are an awesome idea it would be supper cool if you could put meteorite, copper, or marble ,with glow powder instead of flowers and you could put a clear coat of something on it to protect it. Over all a definitely cool idea.

I think it is lovely. ..you can use flakes of gold and silver leaf too but the flowers are lovely. I have been looking at doing some of the UV curing resin....maybe colour it amber and put some tiny computer components in it ...like the mosquitoes lol!

It's possible that it could be so he can make it any size he wants. If he uses a weight then he'll need to have several size circular mould so get the size he wants and would have to account for the material he shaves off to make it more round and polished. Just easier to make one big circle and Shape it. 😉

This ring genuinely looks like an actual space ring, with the clumps of glowstone looking like stars and galaxies. Way more than the other space rings you make. It does look like you wasted a lot of material though when you look at how much you put in the mold versus how little material is in the final product with how thin it is. It works for the glowstone clumps, but not for the flowers. They need more bits in order to not look like there's just too much negative space and not a whole lot going on in the ring.

I'm a big fan of simple and elegant ring pieces. I would love to have a resin ring with maybe peices of my favorite types of flowers (it wouldn't be whole flowers like those tiny ones you had) or something with just a lot of flecks of different glow powders...I saw somebody say ink and I started thinking of that maple-resin pieces you're doing right now and thought maybe some swirls of colored resin in it would be pretty, too. Especially if we can pick our own colors!

Don't worry about something looking too "girly" on a guy. Guys who will go ahead and wear something that looks "girly" tend to be more relaxed and laid back and cooler guys. It is a very beautiful ring. I don't see any reason a guy couldn't wear it. I love the glow effect in the dark. That is amazing.
