Making A Scarecrow For The Townsends Homestead 

Like: what did scarecrows eat in the 18th century; how long did they have to work their indenture in the fields before they became free scarecrows; and how often did they get a new set of clothes?

As a combat veteran myself Benjamin I will tell you get out into nature. Stay away from our militarized police because they’re going to drill you in the bum. @@FacesintheStone I couldn't get much further into nature if I tired. Living on a mountain, on an unmaintained logging road. I came home from town a while ago to a 2 year old bull moose and his aunt (his mother was a twin) in my yard. Can't get much more into nature than that.

A huge amount of kids these days want to be RU-vidrs/Influencers. Not saying this is the case with Jon's Kids, but I imagine they must have respect for their father who is.

the camera work was excellent, wasn't it? The entire thing was very nicely done, right down to the shots of al of the animals. I'm still rooting for Boo Townsend as the scarecrow's name, as he never says anything, just like Boo in To Kill a Mockingbird.

which, now that I think of it, means that the classical image of a scarecrow was probably not terribly well stuffed. Just clothes on a wooden frame. which makes sense.

@@KairuHakubi I think you are right. Flapping sleeves and trouser legs would make the scarecrow more animated.

I think that's it exactly. Also, their eyes are great for zeroing in on things and seeing at a great distance, but they don't handle motion blur well. That's why pigeons and such, when they walk they snap their heads along, maximizing how long the head spends at each position. so I think a hawk flying at high speed around and around, is not going to pick up on how static that scarecrow is. it's going to still register as "there's a man, stay away" I'm told actual *crows* are too smart to fall for the scarecrow forever, though. and you have to keep changing things up, scattering them with loud noises, etc. but crows aren't really going to damage much on their own, they'll do more help than harm by eating pests. hawks though, yeah. if you have chickens.. that's a problem. Or even that adorable calico cat we saw!

@@Raskolnikov70 For a state that’s in the 80s/90s most of the year dropping into the 60s is a noticeable difference and the thinned out blood feels it. I know, I’m stuck down here lol
