In this video I demonstrate how to make a quick 16 step sequence on the Roland Aira Compact S-1 Tweak Synth. If you're a beginner like me then I hope you find this video useful. Don't forget to subscribe ;-)
@@SaturdayMusicMachines Finally got one this week. The manual is shockingly bad, and only on-line. I read it, and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make a tune.
Thanks for this simple demo. Unfortunately shift + rec isn't working for me, I don't get the menu and can't hear the metrenome...(i get the st menu instead) any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
@SaturdayMusicMachines id tried that! Updating the firmware fixed it in the end. Thanks again for making the first s1 video I've come across that I could follow, a lot of the others assume I have some idea of what I'm doing (hence the metronome thing was driving me nuts!). :)
@wheelsfalloff Glad to hear you fixed the problem. I'm a beginner myself and still learning, that's why I started making videos mainly aimed at beginners as, like you say, most videos are made by people who know what they are doing, which I find a bit overwhelming. lol
When trying to record from the arpeggiator I do not get the same result as you do. The notes forming the arp get played back in the sequencer as a chord, do you have any thoughts on why that might be?
Thank you for not going through every sound this makes. I don't understand why these synth tutorials do this. I know what the LFO does. A toddler would figure it out. Why do these youtubers waste my time making horrible beeping noises for most of their tutorials. It just sounds like R2D2 making porn. I don't care I already bought it. That is what reviews are for. It is easier to retain the information, If it is just kept simple.
@@SaturdayMusicMachines....I think bevr is a Roland competitor trying to knock on Your Demo........We learn so much from this short video....And You earned one more SUB......😊.
