I find watching seasoned masters can sometimes make me hesitant in attempting something like this myself, because they are so perfect, so it was nice to see a novice attempt it with a very good result in the end. Thank you!
Not gonna lie I felt the same way watching the pro's do it and seeing how the finished product always looked spectacular. It's part of the reason I'm now doing it because when done well it looks amazing :)
Beautiful work! Short, sweet and very informative. Thanks for showing the actual setting of the stones because most of the other tutorials on eternity rings leave that step out for some reasons. Can't wait to give this a try once my ball vise gets here this week.
Thanks man, we're getting there XD. I'll be onto diamonds soon hopefully :) and yeah this is my first attempt at an eternity ring, but like my 3rd attempt stone setting in the past couple of weeks
No calculating was really done for spacing of the stones, 2mm stones and wanted 1mm inbetween. So a mark every 3mm. It didn't quite line up with the circumference of the ring, so when burring I just made sure the last 5ish stones where spaced evenly :)
So the stones are 2mm with a 1mm gap. It didn’t quite line up with the circumference of the ring so I just made sure there was an even gap between the final 5ish stones to make up the extra space. :)
I have so many questions. In regards to guidelines and the 3mm apart for the stones, what size are the stones? After finding your starting point how did u determine the measurements needed to put the given stone and get exact measurements all around? I'm attempting this said ring and don't know the formular
Stones are 2mm and the gap is 1mm hence the 3mm gap. There's typically going to be some extra space near the end so i'll equally space out the remaining 5 or 6 stones to make up and extra ground and blend it in.
Hi. What is size of zircons compared to width of ring? For example if you have 2,2 mm ring you will use also 2,2 diameter of stones or smaller? Great video!
I am also learning but I was taught that your ring width should be about .2mm wider each side than the stones as to not have any overhang of the girdle so 2.4mm wide for 2mm stones etc.
