Thanks, yeah I've been playing piano since I was a kid, everything from jazz to classical. Mostly self-taught, but had a couple of lessons along the way (my grandma was a teacher too).

@@charliesimon7595 the later you start, the more patient you'll need to be. It's never too late but it takes a lot of courage to start at 20. But it's doable!!!

Think of it this way, it takes a lifetime to master the instrument, and even then you probably can't truly master it, so everyone is always learning and growing, no matter how much experience they have. So there's no finite end goal, just an endless process. So it doesn't matter when you start, just means you'll be slightly behind some people, and maybe even slightly ahead others, but comparing yourself to the progress of others is kind of pointless. So just learn as much as you can and keep learning, and make sure you love it! Sorry for the long post, don't mean to sound like I'm on a high horse or anything, I'm still very much in a learning phase and I feel like I haven't even started compared to some folks, but I love it so regardless of progress I'll just keep learning til I die (or til I lose my hands in a freak accident *knocks on wood*).
