That is perhaps the best flake I've ever seen. Will, you will always be the master. Why not wear gloves? Because gloves won't stop a pice of obcidian. And if you get a flake stuck in you wearing a glove, it acts as a barrier between the stone and your hand. Makes removing it that much more difficult. Yes this had happened to me. It sucked.... 3 stitches I did myself.
Hi Will, I'm here to thank you for the reception and affection you had as our brothers Toniolo and Costa, thank you, you are a special person! strong hug!!
Mr. Lord you truly amazing, as if a GIFT TO US FROM SO FAR IN THE PAST, AS IF YOU WERE TRANSPORTED TO US TO SHOW & TEACH. YOU ARE TRULY FANTASTIC. AN ABSOLUTE ONE OF A KIND. TO TRANSPORT US TO THE TIME FRAME YOU TRULY REPRESENT. THANK YOU SIR! 👍👏 KUDOS TO YOU! JOHN RICHARD, LANCASTER, PA. USA
Your “cut off relationship” it struck home, both for you and any reader, as a person who made car body parts out of sheet steel and hammers if you can’t feel the shape progress it ends up bad and not a part of you or the car just a bad piece of sheet steel/ flint. Thanks for your work and detailed commentary keep it up
Im happy that youre following your dreams!! Your videos are very insightful and really opened my eyes to the living conditions and lives of our ancesters. Thank you!
Your a very interesting man. And make the most beautiful things….. Inspiring, informative, and talented, your knowledge is great, and knows no bounds….. You talk about your journey, which is fascinating. And, It’s a journey, I somewhat fancy myself. I am Now neatly 60 years of age ! And find the stone age craftsmanship astonishing. I have made many items, hand crafted with basic tools and mostly, with purpose. Either to learn another craft or to enhance another one. I want to learn more, as I feel closer to that past than this present….. All the very best on your journey my brother, may the light shine down on you & your many adventures ….. May your wisdom blossom, and your knowledge grow… leading you to a greater elevation and understanding of ‘our’ better past….. ¥ In other words, May The Force Be With You. Safe journeys. May we meet one day on the path to enlightenment… 6:21
Great stuff that piece your working on looks fantastic can't wait to see the Finnised knife, and will be looking forward to seeing you on your trip longlife and may herne watch over you on your travels
Greatest flake I have ever seen! That was amazing! I'm so glad you got that on video. Now I have a dream and I'll probably spend the rest of my life disappointed I can't make a flake like that!
@@WillLordPrehistoricSurvival If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed it. Well done! Lots of knappers say that slabs are the best way to preserve and maximize your rock. Well not when you're Will Lord and can make flakes like that! Good hell!
Absolutely beautiful flake. Thank you for sharing the wonderful Philosophy lesson. I now more soul searching. Again thank you. Good journey Will may you find yourself a new ✨
So freaking glad i found this channel last night I am hooked instantly thisnis what RU-vid should be this is awesome. Glad when I find channels like this.
You’re a good man Will, of course things will turn out really good for you ! Have some great journeys ! Thanks for all the wonderful vids, looking forward to the future ones.
Thanks Will. It would interesting to see you visit traditional tribe that still exists, and delve into the mind set of tribal life to get an insight and make parallels into prehistoric life.
That would be awesome! It's always scientist or some content creator but to see someone who actually loves this way of life interact and adapt would be awesome. Plus he might even be able to teach them a few things
Wil Dacite is a wonderful material and I love working with it. That flake that you removed was quite a joy to see. I would love to take a trip on motorcycles with you to see all the wonderful sites you will be visiting. One of my other most favorite materials to work is Georgetown flint from Texas.
What a beautiful stone and your the one id pick to start smashing on such a nice piece!!! Also have to say it's the best flake I've also ever seen. Cheers buddy, thanks for sharing!!
It would be so awesome to have a big piece of flint rock like that where I live at we hardly got any bigger than a silver dollar I love the videos you share with us thanks keep them up and that's going to be an awesome ride congrats
have you ever worked with Picrite that comes from the outcrop near Hissington in Shropshire, the site of a ancient axe factory ? Next to Mitchels Fold stone circle.
Could you have made that HUGE flake into something like a skinning tool? I could imagine using that to scrape, shave, and such on a deer hide, or bear?
Will could you let me know if you could sell me a nice piece of flint for my arrowheads.im 60yrs old and have never found any on my travels with my daughter and girlfriend.they are fed up of me disapearing on holiday,in search off. It would mean alot to me.you are a Legend 👍
You post shipping and I'll send you obsidian, agate or jasper or all 3! I collect obsidian and jasper 2 hours west of me and there is an entire agate mountain 30 minutes from me. And every color of agate you can find. My favorite is the moss agate
Genius! Follow your dreams because along the way your inspiring others 🤯 👏 🎉 one day I hope to have something that’s been hand made by you. I’ll be buying a raffle on the next one ☝️ 🤞
Hi Will, you make bone handles for some of your flint knives is there anything that you use to treat / preserve the handles, like with wooden handles raw linseed oil is good I was just wondering about the bone. Thanks in advance and good luck with future projects.
Gotta say for myself didn't like that sudden slow mo shot. I had to rewatch it a few times just to figure out what was going on. Still not a hundred percent sure sound and everything really makes a difference
If I was up there with Elton musk I would be running a lot more raffles bud, I might do one raffle a month and I don’t work my balls off punching out dagger’s to make a living, I designed my live to have an enjoyable life with lots of friends and adventures if you get my drift
Go for your dreams thats true inspiration. Never stop learning, experience or plan the next trip. You should do what you can while you can. Thanks Will.
Napping glass sharp stone and talking about your feelings while you shake and cut yourself. I’m on edge, it’s compelling . You seem like a really decent guy.
I am in the raffle brother well sent you the money .. how do I get the tickets ? ... P.s have more mead still if you want some lol ...blessings .. Banksey
always stunning pieces of art. and MAN you have the coolest "ManCave". I'd love to own and hold a piece crafted by a person such as your self. Truly inspiring.
Thanks and hey you might want to have a look in my Etsy shop I don’t have much in there but there are a few bits www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WillLordTreasures?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
omg i can FEEL the tension through the screen even before you start to work on the rock. Which is completely understandable. i know NOTHING about rocks, but that clean smooth black side is a thing of beauty. You can tell rocks don't come in that pristine of form often.
Firstly WOW WHAT A FLAKE! Did this Dagger turn out? I didn't see a link in this video either my friend. Hey Will were you still doing that Solstice Dagger? I'm super curious to know! Your BIGGEST Fan! Thank you Will Lord.
WILL, So very glad your back missed your videos and stories and your dream is gonna fly for sure what an awesome piece your doing now cant wait to see it finished.
I hope your trip is everything that you want it to be and that more than anything else, you enjoy yourself. It was interesting to see you shape the stone as you shaped your thoughts.
