This video (Part 1) is about preforming a piece of White Rose Quarts using Core Drilling to make a Sphere. In this video I have done only 3 Core Drill cuts instead of 5. In Part 2 I’ll show you how I have done the rest of the preforming.
Good day, yes, because the core drill moves in a linear plane, it creates the illusion of cylindrical, square and pyramidal shapes on the preform. If you use the core drilling method for preforming, you are going to make 5 cuts to get a proper preform. Each cut removes the corners of the square-like shape.
