Plenty of f**k around and find out with mold making in one video but end result looks really good, nice subtle action on a good looking lure (scale pattern was a great idea).
Wow Franco, that WAS a tough build. But you got through it quite well. Congrats! I hope it catches fish as good as it looks. Also, I'm glad you got through both storms with minimal loss.
I can see you had a hard time with this one. The end result was totally worth it! I love your videos because you show just how imperfect we are and the issues we can have when lure building.
I thought it looked really good, a very subtle action. I know these longer videos can be a pain to make but I like these the most and always watch the whole thing
Check out the Core Tackle TUSH and Hover Rig hooks. They're weighted hooks that give soft plastics a different action. They can replace jig heads and other hooks.
I didn't find your video this morning and found you by chance. Thanks for the upload Franko! Nice recovery from the silicone difficulties. BTW, I've never seen a two-part, open pour, injection mold before. Wow!
Silicone can turn into a mess really quickly. And platinum silicone can be very finicky where it doesn't cure, especially with cured UV resin. For modeling clay (sulphur free) I like to heat it in a slow cooker and literally pour it over or set my master into it before it hardens. Hard modeling clays actually have a lower melting point than soft modeling clays. I do this when copying soft plastic baits that have a higher melting point than the clay.
My best friend from grade school graduated from Rose Hulman. We are still best friends and we are almost 40. You sir would definitely fit right in at our bon fire get togethers😂. We are always making stuff, and i get alot of info from him. Engineers are the absolute best 👌 🫡. My favorite channels on YT are Rogan of course, tactical bassin, Engineered angler, and Marling baits. 🙌
