I talk to myself a lot while working on things too. Im going to make a table runner too but a narrow one for my small kitchen table. It very will be jars. Either jars of bugs or flowers

I would like to let you know that you got me back to quilting. I had back surgery and later had a double mastectomy so there was a lot of depression till I got a IPad and found you. Seeing you trying to get back to normal I thought I better get out of this chair and cut some fabric. I am 79 and my den is a mess with quilt blocks. I have to say love you from south Mississippi.

I have done some interviews before about me. I been on a blog and Handmade by Ying with Donna for a interesting interview. As far as your questions I been quilting almost 7 years and I am in Arizona. My other hobby is more excersize, I love to swim. So when I am not quilting I am in a pool swimming. My work is my hobby of quilting and teaching here on YT.

I love that you design some of your own patterns. AWESOME!!!! I recently bought one of those mini irons because it's easy to keep close and it doesn't use as much power as my Rowenta, this one is a Dritz, it is a replacement for the one that was recalled. It is so handy for small pieces and it is so light weight. It heats up so fast. I'm doing some hand sewing right now, I've been up all night and I just looked at the clock, oh my gosh it's 6:30 am. Major case of insomnia. I'm new to your channel, so I'm catching up on all your back videos. It's so much fun. I have Lupus and all the arthritis types, so I know what you mean about swelling feet, numb fingers, yada yada yada.

Ok I was going through the comments. I believe this block is calked a tri rec. That is what the ruler to make them calls them. It is short for triangle rectangle blocks.💖 Edit no wait I'm wrong you arent using rectangles then again you end up with rectangles so maybe it is tri recs. Either way it's beautiful.❤

I just found you and love it. I was wondering what model number your Juki is and if you like it. I have 2 Janomes but the Juki seems a lot faster and suggestions? Thanks again.

Mine is the Juki TL-2010Q it's fabulous and after 6 years the only complaint is they should have made a side spool holder on it too for side winding spools and not just top.

I use different batting never the same. Cotton, 80/20 and poly. Those are my 3 go to. And typically always scrap pieces for little projects

I recently purchased the Cricket Mini iron and I love it for small piecing projects like you are doing in this video. It has an automatic shut-off and a great pointed end to work the small seams and smooth all the small blocks. That is the one I keep near me when cutting, pressing and sewing. Doesn’t make me feel like a hot oven!

I'm thinking that Peaky and Spike is the name of that block and there's rulers that are available for it. I think that their block comes out to be a square rather than a rectangle. Thank you, I think that your method has less waste for 5-inch squares.
