i loved to see how someone made a tack trunk ,what i mean by how someone made a tack trunk is that i like to see how other homemade tack trunks look. keep making videos and for u to film with ur iphone u did a really good job. im saying that because i have seen some prety bad videos from other youtubers
I cut out the plywood to the size i needed and then I glued/nailed a 1x2 all around the edges and I mitered the corners to give it a nicer finish. Does that make sense?

I can tell you really put your heart into it but I would feel guilty splurging like that on anything for myself. Thank you so much for sharing your work. I've been meaning to make a tack trunk for the last six months, and you've inspired me to get into the shop and make something! Out of curiosity, did your wife (lucky lady, btw) she place the trunk directly on the ground at the barn, or did she put it on a platform to keep the bottom off the ground? Some plans call for legs on the trunk but I don't know if that is actually necessary...
Thanks for the kind words! Actually my wife has a consistently dry place to put it on the ground directly. If there is a chance the ground will get damp at the barn, I would suggest putting something under it, or putting it up on legs or a riser of some sort. Hope that info helps. :)
Seth Makes it did! I actually finished the trunk a few weeks ago and it looks amazing. Scary how quickly such a large trunk fills up with stuff, though! Thank you again for your video, my horse thanks you too.
Yes it is... Actually I had some plywood left over from another project and I just used what I had. It's definitely NOT top quality plywood, but it worked.
