On this week's show, I promote getting the young people into the shop to make themselves a wonderful little wooden toy helicopter. I hope you enjoy the project.
If you haven't already, please don't forget to like and subscribe and click the bell so that you don't miss the notifications of future episodes of the show.
As always, I want to thank you so much for stopping by the channel and taking the time to tune in to the show. It is very much appreciated.
If you would like to obtain a pdf copy of the pattern for this toy, you can drop me a PM at the channel's facebook page or send me an email at acutabove_woodworking@hotmail.com and I would be more than happy to send a copy your way.

As a newer parent I really enjoy the fact that many times on your show you have encouraged getting your kids involved. Awesome project!

Getting the children involved in woodworking and crafts is the only way to ensure that the craft survives for many generations to come. Thanks for the kind words and for tuning in Joel.

Hi Kenny, another good project. I can see these flying out the door. Re: Come home when the street lights go out, I sure remember those days. Thx again Kenny.

Kenny, so does your favorite little granddaughter like playing with the helicopter? I can foresee that in a few years she will be getting some hands on experience. Hope she lives close enough to even be a regular on the show in due time. Oh yea, nice project.

She lives really close Paul. Mrs Earrings and I walk there once a week to visit her and the walk is only 6 minutes. She doesn't understand the concept of the helicopter flying, but she does like to spin the props. LOL. Thanks for tuning in sir and for the kind words on the project.

That's a cute and somewhat easy project, I have a neighbor who has a 8yo grandson and a 10yo granddaughter, they would come over with their grandmother and we would do simple but easy projects together every month, the look on both their faces and the eagerness of wanting to show their parents what they did is so priceless, today it seems like children don't want to work with their hands unless it's playing with the game controller or cellphone, I do have to admit for me makes me feel happy knowing that I'm passing on a craft that when the 2 children gets older they might want to keep woodworking alive, Thank you Ken have a pleasant weekend

That's a great story Alan. I too have children in my shop from time to time to make have them make a woodworking craft. I mostly allow them to use the scroll saw and my goto project is one that I featured on the show quite some time ago. You can find it here if you are interested. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O-qbFCpA8ck.html Thanks for the kind words and for doing your part to keep woodworking alive and well for future generations. I appreciate you tuning in to the show.

My grand-daughter would have a great time putting that together as a kit. I got her her own youth hand tools and a few wood kits for Xmas and we build together. Great looking Helicopter, like the cartoon idea. Take care northern neighbor!

Glad that you liked the project Michael. I love the fact that you give the kits to your granddaughter and work on them as a team. That's what life long memories are made of. Good for you. Thanks for tuning in sir and for taking the time to share your story. I love it.

Great fun project. Really like the videos with the scroll saw. I don't have a scroll saw, considered one for years, but can't imagine enough projects to justify the purchase and time.
@acutabove_woodworkings
@acutabove_woodworkings 3 года назад
Scrolling is by far, the most relaxing form of woodworking there is Steve and I honestly hope that one day, you will find justification in the addition of one to your shop. Until such time however, I hope you continue to enjoy the scrolling videos. Thanks for tuning in to the show and for taking the time to leave the kind words. It's very much appreciated.

Oh! And she does help me with the whirligigs, she loves to paint, glue, and sand. I also let her help with the designing so of my projects. I found the kids can come up with some cool ideas. It only takes a pencil and a piece of paper!

You've got the right idea about children and workshops Michael. Too many people underestimate the power of a child's imagination. Glad to hear that you are getting her involved. Thanks again for tuning in.

We invented dusk horse racing because of that statement ‘be home when the street lights came on’, we,d ride our poor horses so hard to met that deadline! what a memory! Great video, thanks for creating and sharing. BTW what was the design software please?
