I am also very happy to see you again! You're one of those few who calm my anxieties, your voice , calm with low volume . angelic to my ears! Thank you and stay well!
Donna makes quilt making SO easy. I love the simplicity with which she assembles a quilt, not to mention that she makes great use of the "scraps". Thank you Dona.
I like so many others and so glad to see you back with a new video. Each day I checked to see if there was a new video available from Jordan Fabrics I was so disappointed when there wasn't. I hope all is well with Matt I have not seen him in a video in quite some time. Hope all is well
Love this pattern I just got a jelly roll and will try this for good measure 😊. First time at patchwork 😂 Love your videos, Donna and team. God bless from the UK 🇬🇧
I was so happy to see that you are back Donna. Missed you and your videos. You’re my favorite quilt person to watch on RU-vid. Hope all is well and I look forward to seeing more of your quilting advice.
So nice to see your smiling face again. Didn’t realize how much I look forward to your videos until they quit arriving! You are my FAVOURITE You Tube instructor, and once again you made a beautiful quilt seem so easy.
It’s good to see u Donna 😊 I made the original trade winds, it was very nice. But, this one is a step up especially with the colorful fabric. Your son handles the camera very well! Thx Donna for another prize. Stay safe!!!
I too missed you guys. I just found your channel in January and quickly became a fan. Then when you all didn't post a video for a month... I found myself missing a new installment terribly. Your videos and directions are clear, inspiring and just fun to watch. Thank you for all your efforts, I hope all is well and look forward to seeing your next video.
Hurray! So happy to see your smiling face, teaching us so many techniques. It’s been a while, and we missed you! Hoping all is well, and thank you for this updated tutorial. The colors just Pop! don’t they?
Hi Y'all, Sooo happy to have a new video. Thank you Donaa to you and your entire staff and family. It's like being with a private tutor. You make everything so easy and clear.
Your videos tutorials are the best out there. You explain everything so well and you stay on subject! So important! Your son has the videos down to a science too! So glad you are feeling better. !
I was taught to prevent "bowing" when sewing multiple jelly roll strips to sew from one end, then flip the strips around to start at the other end, then flip again, etc. In other words, alternate the end you start sewing your strips together.
You produce the best videos, easy to understand and the quilts are so beautiful. I made your "Almost no waste" quilt, it was the prettiest I have done and so easy.
I have really missed you, I hope you are all safe and well. Another brilliant tutorial, and another beautiful quilt. Thank you so much Linda Bristol uk
Donna, I heave learned that I should not buy fabric as I always need more to match, or for whatever reason, but the pre-cuts are the best way to go! I love this pattern.... and the fact that it's a pre-cut makes me more inclined to try this. I wish you had some good ideas for what to do with all of my fat quarters as I have bins of them, as well as all the yardage I have. I can't seem to get the colors to work well together. I just ordered my first jelly roll from you and we'll see how that goes. I hope I can try this pattern with that roll! Keep up the good work! I have missed watching you lately!
Seems like a lot of people missed seeing you, me included! Hope all is well with you and yours! I always enjoy your videos, you and your son have it down pat! Thank you
Hurrah a new video! Beautiful quilt!Thank you so much. You are the best teacher and your son the best videographer of all the quilting videos I have seen. I live in WA so I hope to one day get down to your quilt shop. Have an awesome quilting day.🙂
It is wonderful to see you!! I have missed you. Thank you for the "redo" of the video! Your are great and I greatly appreciate all that you and Matt do!!!
I just had to go watch the original Tradewinds video. You're right about the camerawork being better now, but it was still very watchable. What struck me is how you Donna sound just as confident and competent as you do now!
Glad to see you back hope you and your family are well. Lovely pattern. Spring is on the way can you do a quilt with spro g colours and maybe one with solid colours. Thank you Donna from Gloucestershire UK
I've missed you and your tutorials, they are so clear and easy to follow, just wish I had your workshop. 🙁 I hope you and yours are all well. Take care and stay safe, from Loch Lomond, Scotland.
I remember your first trade winds tutorial, even have the jelly roll called Trade Winds still. Your hard on yourself. The first tutorial was just fine and fun to watch. Maybe now I'll use the trade Winds fabric Jelly Roll and make this easy quilt. Well done as always Donna.
Missed you the last couple weeks! Was worried you had gotten that COVID! So glad that wasn't it! Love the quilt as always. Thanks for giving your time to us quilters!!!
Thanks for another wonderful tutorial video, Donna. I love how you make extra tidbits like a "bonus border" look so easy. The fabrics you used are gorgeous too. Love it! ~Diana K.
So glad to see you back. I always try to pick thread colors for the quilting, never get it right. Guess that is what makes us seamstresses so grateful for your expertise. Thanks for all you do for us, enjoy your tutorials so much.
The great thing about quilting is that there is almost never a right or wrong - especially when selecting a thread for the quilting. My personal preference is for the thread to not show much, but I see lots of quilts with contrast thread colors that are beautiful!
Donna, I’ve missed you! I was concerned about you! Gorgeous fabrics in this quilt! Your tip about how to arrange the first 4 blocks was very helpful. I would tell my math students that is real life math - 90 degree rotations! Loved your use of scraps to make the additional border. It looked fantastic! Thank you for your great tutorials!
THANKYOU FOR YOUR FANTASTIC TUTORIALS, I REALLY ENJOY HOW SIMPLIFIED THEY ARE AND CLEARLY EXPLAINED IN DETAIL. ONE ISSUE I HAVE FOUND IS THE SOUND ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU MOVE AROUND WHILST TALKING. KINDEST REGARDS FROM AUSTRALIA
I love the border you decided to make. One thing I think I would do on that size is to make an 8th row. So I think that means 6 extra strips. I'm going to find several new patterns I want and place an order. Thank you for the demos!
Hay sweet friend- I call you my friend because you bring me joy when I see you! We sew together often 😊 thank you for sharing your thoughts & love for quilting. Love this quilt
Hello Donna, Love your videos. I would love it if you could do a tutorial on the 54-40 fight quilt! It looks so complex and I'm sure you could make it look easier, especially those 60° triangle squares ❤ 🇦🇺
