I feel your pain about the knees!! I put on knee pads when i walk in the shop then the gloves. I’ve built a couple small trailers like you were working on. I agree 100% the hinges always deal me a fit. Awesome work !! I’ll watch you on the next one.
Roy, I feel your pain brother at almost fifty years of age I have been through the ringer quite a few times and all I can say is keep on moving. Thats how I cope with the pain. That said awesome job on the trailer Roy.
Build a 4X8 steel table! Put it outside if you don't have room inside. It will take it 10 years or more to rust if you treat it monthly by wire wheeling and sanding it with a 4" grinder and lightly coating it with NEW 30W oil. (Now I see how old this is. I hope you have a good steel table in the new shop by now.) Still a good video.
I had a heck of a time welding the gate on to my utility trailer. The added issue I had with mine was I wanted the tailgate to fold flat into the bed of the trailer as well as fold out to the ground. If you look back on my channel / playlist you can find the $50 trailer build

Would love to see a video of the mobile cabin! Sorry about your back! I would recommend some basic yoga or pilates for stretching! Take care of yourself.
Thanks for sharing your video, hope you heal up and get back into the swing of things. I have a question about automotive coil springs, how much heat should I apply to make the two ends meet? Right now one end is up about 3/4 of an inch. I am trying to make a campfire pot stand, with several circular rings welded together. This is my cut coil spring section where you can see one side is raised up . imgur.com/a/yd8Kp thanks for any advice.
