In this video I'm building a plywood TRUNK ORGANIZER to store my car tools. The car is a Dacia (Renault) Duster II (2021) 2WD (2 wheel drive) which unlike the 4WD has the spare tire underneath the car...
Dimensions are included in the video and can be used as a guide.
You can adapt the project to your own car and liking.

This is amazing, I've been desperately trying to figure out how to build EXACTLY this for my CRV. I doubt I could ever get a finished product that looks as perfect as yours though.

Initially wasn't expecting much- After viewing is a very nice job. Good functionality and not hard to remove if for some reason need to. It has been a year, any modifications you might have wanted to change by chance? I really do like it as is.

Hello Mark, I still have it installed in the car without any issues. The cable-ties aren't really needed, so that's something I've dropped. Last week we transported a washing machine (packaged) and I forgot to take it out, luckily the machine fitted barely but that might be the downside; You can get in a situation where a load might have fitted without the storage-bay. But I'm still very happy I made it, for me it works great. Thanks and have a nice day 👍

Excellent video and build! As a builder, my favorite line was. "I managed to glue the sheet into position." but it also sounded like, "glue the shit into position." That is what I would have been saying at this point in the build! Again, excellent work, keep it up!

I would of got a black piano hinge or just painted it But hey that was a great video ! I don’t even own a car like that I own a truck and just recently made pull out drawers

Yes a black one would have been nicer, I only found those brass hinges. Wish I had a truck too but our government declared war on them with extremely high taxes, won't ever be able to afford one now. Great to read you made a pull out project for yours. Cheers

This is a phenomenal build! Have you had any issues with the liner getting snagged along the hinge seams?

Thanks, the liner doesn't get snagged along the hinge seam, but I left a gap there (about 4-5mm) so it can freely rotate/move. Cheers

Great design I conteplated something like this, because it gives you the entire boot space but also allows you to carry your entire workshop when you're one of those people who likes their tools

Love your videos... Just a tip... if you take off the carpet you will add a 0.5 to 0.7 decibells... if you cut a small 45° angle lip in all the corners you will also add on the db's... and if you really want a few more, you can seal it with rezon... Keep on keeping on.. much love brother

The speedsquare/ruler trick to mark the curves of the trunk is insanely helpful, not just in this paritcular case but in other projects where I have always had a hard time translating the contours of some fixed space onto a piece of wood. Thank you!
