*_Great work, as always._* *_I gotta say, those cracks? They are ideal if you want cracks in the side of a building. Something to look into for a future build, it does add realism. But then, one could always just quickly carve in cracks, so maybe not_*

Normally I usually use acrylic putty, not wall mortar or plaster. When the acrylic putty dries, it becomes even more difficult to sand, but as it hardens and becomes a type of cement with fewer fractures. Acrylic putty has a certain plasticity that reduces breakage, unlike plaster. Amazing job! Cheers

It's always great to build stuff from videogames, since you can go and check for yourself how it looks. I've been a fan of the cork-plaster combination for a while, looks phenomenal. If you want your plaster to be extra sturdy and resistent to blows and scratches you can always cover it with polyurethane resin. The porous nature of plaster (works with other porous things, like wood) will absorb the resin and it will harden inside the plaster making it extra durable. You can apply multiple coats, but when the plaster starts to gloss it means it won't take any more resin. Just make sure you work with smallquantities of resin at a time and work fast since it starts to solidify once the two components are mixed. Great build, as always. I look forward to the next video.

This castle is coming along awesomely!! And I have to give you HUGE props for using so many eco-friendly materials, like cardboard and cork (genius idea! I hadn’t thought of that one!) and paperclay. I cringe so hard when I see people doing these huge builds entirely out of foam, which will continue to hang around for hundreds of years after they have died. So great job, you! 🙌🏻

I've done some work recently with plastered stonework and went a very different way than you did. I'd seen a tutorial for making pillars that used the toilet paper cardboard tube, glued on parts of the rougher egg carton cardboard that's rough, then using the drywall patching plaster that's premixed from dollar tree with a lot of added water to thin it out. I shifted it to use with some mdf kits rather than the cardboard tube, but it worked out extremely well there. Quite quick there to do it. The main issue with a lot of plasters is that most don't grip that well in the first place
