@@mistygeezofficial your comment makes the most sense, thought the same, also that traditional drum pattern initially is inspired by another genre from Angola called “Kizomba” where style like zouk stems from as such, the initial drum pattern still lacked a little to fully have that african afrobeat sounnd to it and usually afrobeat instrumentals the drum pattern are simple more focus is added on the melody and counter-melody plus accompaniments
Yooo Jay man!! You craaazy!! I watched almost all of your videos! You really REALLY helped me with everything. Especially drill type beats. Thanks a LOT for that 🙏
This is a great attempt! You have a good ear for the essential ingredients. Just one thing: this isn’t afrobeat . You need a kick every bar to actually drive this. At 4:45 (the drum section) you actually got it right and then changed your mind 🙃
Jay my guy, you need to tell us where you upload these beats that aren't drill Can't find them on your website Will highly appreciate it And also the beats you made with Yxng Finexxa, they aren't on your beats channel and they were drill I believe
10 things to quit for all Strong Men: 1. Caring about what others think 2. Not believing in yourself 3. Not experimenting different ideas / solutions for problems (life&business) 4. Not prioritizing your health 5. Wasting your precious time 6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it) 7. Chasing meaningless relationships 8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat 🥩 9. Wasting time by scrolling social media 10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it - consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!) Take it easy and I hope you found one thing helpful in this list...................................
You got the drum beat right initially, but quickly changed it. However, this is a hybrid of *Dance Hall,* *R&B* and *Trap.* Not Afrobeat. (Afrobeat pose a challenge to non-Nigerian Producers because Afrobeat is essentially a translation of Nigeria's native rhythms with Western or modern musical instrument. Nigerian Producers simply layer modern chord progression on top of raw, native rhythm. Non-Nigerian Producers struggle with Afrobeat because they are not familiar with Nigerian Native rhythms)
It sounds good but you definitely threw me off with the halftime drum feel. Try putting snares/claps on every 2 and 4 at 90-110BPM+ and you'll really get that authentic feel
You need to make a PUNJABI style uk drill beat. Search up punjabi drill and listen to a few songs and beats maybe, its a unique stlye, so make sure you do that. But please do make it when you get time - good video as always!
I think this beat lacks authenticity, perhaps get the west africa kontakt library, shaker loops, and play around with the swing button. What you made is Uk dancehall or what most youtube producers would want to term as afro swing, with the percussion try with 3rd steps rather then normal steps. Hope this helps anyone out there.
Awesome sound 🔥🔥🔥 but this is dancehall not afrobeat. To get that afrobeats vibes try listening to ayra starr, portable, zinoleesky, tuface and olamide
this sounds like one of those songs used in those videos where someone record their vacations and it's like super chill and super party at the same time hahah
Jay..the beat z fire😊😊 It has the hiphop touch....and even any random Afrobeat producer will noe the beat was made overseas...just as you the drill mandem can say this drill beat was not made in uk...but africa...i thnk there is jus a slight dffrnce that is always felt and i dont noe why....i always try to make my drill beats sound more Uk like....but🤣 the african touch is still there
