In the second video featuring my commission for States Coffee, I paint it, weather it and wire up the neon. Watch Part 1 Here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--UdSpE8JWPs.html
Wesley Not sure if you go back to these videos, I must of watch this video at least 10 times not in a row but 10 different times. I find the way you can turn something new and make it look old, the work you do always amazes me, like this project, the Art Deco project, the vintage candy machine I could go on forever, dam I forgot the vintage knob project. anyway please keep up the awesome work and the videos Dave Thompson
Really took me back to my childhood. My uncle started a sign business in Atlanta right out of the Army in 1947. He hand lettered signs beautifully but neon work was his love. I would spend my entire summer sitting on a stool in his shop watching him bend glass and fill the letters and shapes with gas. It was like watching a magic show lol. Now I can enjoy watching your incredible videos and feel like Im watching another great magician!
Just found your channel and subbed immediately. Such inspiring work. That "instant" rust treatment is amazing. Also, where do you source your neon? Do you do it yourself?
I get the $12 rolls from LED Wholesalers (ledwholesalers.com). I've been pretty happy with them. (Do not, however, buy their power supplies. They are very unreliable.) If you have Prime, you can get the LEDs without shipping through Amazon: amzn.to/2AYWjVk
Where do you find all of the accessories you use? I have been interested in making something similar, for myself, but did not know where one could acquire neon fixturing?
I have a local neon guy who bends the glass. I buy the transformers directly from him as I need them. For most other items, I usually order from West Coast Custom Designs. Good luck!
