I like the fact that the eyes looks like they're glowing and following you. And it's funny that all the ads are phones and the vid is for a phone case.
Well cos-clay is completely sold out right now so maybe he was just out of it and couldn't get any for the video? Or maybe he didn't think of it while making the piece
I'd love to see that myself, but I think that would require a multi part video. Cthulhu is big and a lot of work. I'm sure he could do it, but there's no way he could do it justice on a short video like this.

Obi Wan Kenobi the Sclera is the white part of the eye. Iris is the coloured part of your eye. The pupil is the black part in the center of that coloured part (the iris)
I love colour shift so much 😄 You should definatly make a 'sock goblin' some time, y know the things that steal your socks. 😂 Either that or a kelpie. I know you would make amazing sculptures out of either 😊

I just saw a picture of a dungeon mimic that REALLY reminded me of Ace’s teeth and tongue style. Now I hope he will eventually customize or sculpt a small mimic chest XD
love the idea but I think I'll wait for cosclay to become available because it is a phone case so it's meant to protect from drops, not break on the first drop xD
A couple of large curved fangs (metal armature) would double as a prop and a finger hold (so they'd be large and curved enough to slide a finger through to hold phone)
Really nice, except for the eyes. After you paint the pupil, take a toothpick and draw lines out from the pupil, then add the iris; it looks much more realistic, like the folds in the iris. There are some amazing dragon eye tutorials out there, using layers of color for the iris and other techniques that I forget.
I love it! The color shift is creative and I think if you would have yellowed and browned the teeth some it would look better, maybe even add a little bit of deep red on the tips of the teeth
next time you do the color background of the eyes, use eyedroppers filled with multiple shades of the same or a similar color to drop droplets onto the back of the cabochon in layers to create an interesting "eye-like" effect. in otherwords, 1 drop of navy blue 1 drop of dark blue 1 drop of cobalt blue 1 drop of blue 1 drop of lightblue 1 drop of bluegreen (all after the iris is put in, of course) etc, etc, etc, until the entire back of the cabochon is filled with the color. the end result creates a multi-layered effect that looks quite good, especially on alien designs. apologies if this was difficult to understand i have difficulty putting things to writing sometimes.
wow, what a wonderful art for a phone cover skin... this makes me think about the chance to see an Elder God's skin as well. You know, Cthulhu, Niggurath and so on... all eyes, mouths and creepyness.. xDD
This ones so awesome! You should try to customize switch holder thingies and/or matching joycons! (Maybe joycons are too difficult bc they are small,,) but video game console customization would be cool :D obviously you dont gotta bc thats a lot of money
I really love all your monster designs! I think next time you do some stuff with cabochon eyes, it might be cool to paint the pupils slightly to the left or the right sometimes, so it looks like all the eyes are looking around in different directions!
I would really love to see him create a cute monter anime girl like one of the girls from Monster Musume or Tohru or Kanna from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid 💜💜💜
For the SCP series... I'd love to see SCP-682 (Hard to destroy reptile) (classic 🤩) 999 (cuddle monster), 053 (a young girl) (classic) 610 (flesh that hates), 597 (the mother), 029 (daughter of darkness) and 173 (the sculpture) (also classic 🥜💜) .....I could go on. I *LOVE* the SCP foundation 💜
Next time I really suggest using paper to make a template of the back, cut it out, stick it on a larger sheet of paper and photocopy that. Print it out and now you have a true to size “mat” representation of the phone back that you can sculpt on and save you putting it on and off the case and warping it every time.
I've a ? on technique of painting those eyes. After doing the eye color, is it possible to scratch lines off the paint, then paint a 2nd color , so when its done the eye has rays of of color showing in it. Say if done here with turquoise being color1 but having rays of red (or gold ) showing through?
I wonder how much weight this adds, and how thin you can make the clay before it ruins the integrity of your sculpting?? Edit: Those eyes are AWFULLY gorgeous for a gruesome monster! :D
That's awesome. I've seen a cool technique for the eyes to give more depth. Layer the color shift paints on the back. After each color scratch lines through it so the next color you put on peeks through.
If you use the flexible glue with a thin craft foam in between it would have provided an extra layer of flexibility so that you'd be less likely to crack the Clay when putting it on or off the phone.
