I love it too, but I haven't been able to hold a consistent burn on the candle, and I believe its because of the dye itself. That may be why we don't see that many black scented candles in the market.
When i saw u was making a black candle i was screaming “yassssss” right with you. I’m also starting up learning so i can eventually start my own luxury candle line and i was thinking my black matte jars would have black wax for the male scents. Black is my fav color so i loooove it!!! I have so many questions but your doing well and your vessels are awesome great job!
Yes I’m working on a black Gardenia, so far it’s been difficult to get a good burn test. I’ve tried using wooden wicks, cotton wicks and the don’t perform well with the color dyes. They burn well up to when the candle is half way then it starts to die down the flame is not strong enough to make a melt pool. Really bums me out.
Yes i know i was watching all your videos last night and learned a lot from you testing your candles and that black gardenia candle looked so pretty you’ll get it right i believe in you so much I’m more than excited for you!!!!keep trying!!

Hello, and Happy New Year to you too. Yes I add Stearic Acid in addition to Vybar 260 to my candles. I get amazing HT when I use them combined. I use PB600 wax from the flaming candle, and haven't got an issue with combining them. I use 3tbsp of Steric Acid per 1lb. of wax and 1tsp. of Vybar 260 for every 1lb. of wax.

Amazing, Happy New Year!!! Question: How do you make your wood wicks stay lit? The ones I use light up for a second then dies out. Maybe it needs to be soaked in OIl??

michael i know uour using black glass but with clear glass have you gotten lines in the was with steric acid? im noticing lines around the was vessel....any suggestions
I would recommend not adding any additives, if the results you're getting are not what you'd want. I'm not using stearic acid anymore, just sticking to Vybar for now.
