What's the thickness of the foam? And will it wear and tear over time? I was thinking of making this for LARP, so it will most likely be hit and damaged over time.
Hi Paris! I used 2MM for the entire build I think. Everything has stayed solid since I built it without anything coming loose or falling off but I’m not using it in action so I’m not sure. Because there is no loose or thin protruding pieces I gotta think it should hold up OK. But since it’s such a simple build and it uses such thin foam you could always just replace a piece if it comes off. Let me know if you do it, I’m interested in finding out. Thanks!
I've been working on the knight helmet pattern you sell on your Etsy store. I needed the basic pattern to get started. I then customized it to fit my reference images for a Teutonic Knight with the horns and fins. When it's done these gloves look like they're going to be next on the list! I know this video was 4 years ago, but maybe somebody will see this. But why didn’t you want to plasti-dip the glove to color match the rest of the gauntlet?
