That's a good idea using automation to side-chain. I use Duck, which is great, but tailoring the side-chain envelop for the unique context of each bass and kick interaction like you did isn't possible (with one instance at least)
God damn, you already did Halftime and Neuro. All I have left to request is Amon Tobin style beautiful weirdo music, and Neo Soul like Flying Lotus, Mono/Poly and even Thundercat 😂🫣 Edit: Taking requests for made up or rule-adjusted genres would make this series go forever. For example, Neurofunk sounds *really good* between 162-168 with some heavy off-grid tedium but nobody does it. Try "my version" of Neurofunk and see what happens? Also, setting your time signature to 10/16, bumping the tempo up 370-410 and putting the snare on "6" for the grooviest Halftime of your life 😉
Hey man, good trick for if youre sidechaining with utility - make an effect chain and map the gain to a macro, then set the maximum of the macro to 0db, that way you have more control of your shapes and youll never accidentally automate over 0 👌
Is there another way to generate those crazy bass noises but without disperser? I've been experimenting and I'm not having much luck getting something close.
