Hi Lucy!!! I'm not sure, what 'end' you meant, but it's definitely not something you have to be worried about -- everything will be glued anyway. If you mean the loop at the end of a signature -- it's just like all the other ones with the only difference that you're not going back to the same hole, you're starting the next signature. You can take as long thread as you can deal with, it's never enough)) Mine is about 1,5m (75cm when I make it double). And yes, muslin should work great (if it's not layered, otherwise you might have to deal with air bubbles when you add decorative cover). I hope that helped)) Enjoy your craftig!
