MAKing Art: The DRAWing Exhibition at Draíocht

The National Collection of Contemporary Drawing (NCCD) was officially founded by the Limerick Contemporary Art group, comprised of artists and business people of Limerick in 1987 with the aim of giving the city a distinctive collection of contemporary artwork. The NCCD collection is part of the permanent collection of Limerick City Gallery of Art and comprises of over 200 artworks, which embrace all forms of contemporary drawing practice reflecting in its constantly changing nature as it adapts to new technologies and artistic ideas.
The Artists included in this exhibition at Draíocht include: Dorothy Cross, Liadin Cooke, Brian Bourke, Piet Moog, Alan Keane, Brian Maguire, John Aiken, Felim Egan, Niamh O’Malley, Elizabeth McGill, Nigel Rolfe, Arno Kramer, Tjibbe Hooghemstra, Susan Dunne, Aileen McKeogh, Nick Miller, Siobhan Piercy, Chris Boland and Kyd & Kyde Konenyykb.
