I made a custom curation of vvundertone drum samples for a friend. Before I gave the compact flash card away I decided to test them out. I really enjoyed the layout of these sounds on a 16 pad setup (SP555) Having drum samples is one thing but knowing which sounds to place together is another beast. Using Wurlitzer, string and a lil Clav on the Nord Electro 4d I found a lot of inspiration, and hopefully watching this video you do too!

damn those drums are fantastic, would you say the 555, has a better sound than the 404 mk2 ? Thinking of getting myself a sampler.

I wouldn’t say so at all. I borrowed a friend’s 404 mk2 and it was lovely. Even more effects, more parameters. Been wanting to get one of those myself for a while!

I truly dig it. I also use it as a external FXs processor cuz you know Roland FXs are some of the very best!

ya know... people definitely talk too much in youtube videos... it is a trend to the nth degree..
