Really cool video/ tutorial, Thanks. Got a question.. whats the processing used to make the drum parts sound so damn nice? Is it the great samples or is there some processing going on? Id like to understand making my drums sound so clear and crisp!! Appreciate you taking the time to do this.. Thanks again.. 😊😊😊😊

Richard Cole thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it! There isn't too much processing, my main tip here would be to find the best sound to start working with, instead of needing to do too much work. Using a service like Spice sounds can help with this. I have some gentle compression over the drums as a whole, as well as a little saturation, and what keeps them tight is the sidechaining, e.g. the open hat is sidechained to the kick, as are the under hats, and the bass of course. I have a video on my channel about how I make by drums called 'Basic House Drums', and there are lots of other great house drum tutorials. Let me know if you have any more questions!

ofc!! The big difference with the launchpad pro over the launchpad mk2 is that you get velocity sensitive pads and aftertouch :) i think you should be able to do all the basic stuff with the mk2..

Im using ableton 9 lite and once I've made a loop with one sample using the launchpad, I cant use the launchpad again to add to that loop. However I can edit it manually. Is it because i am using 9 lite?

You have latency problems. There are plug ins to fix it. how ever if you are using ableton, go to excel mode with the tabs, look to the bottom right right near the master channel tab, you should see three little circles click on the D to help with latency....

So in the beginning of the video you recorded your own beat? Hmm, so this is just a trick so you dont have to spend so such time looking for your beat, I gotcha ya!
